PRI TBCT - Practical Experience, Anybody?
Hi Guys,
I am sorry if my issue is not related to this but I think it is.
I have a PRI with Bell Canada and when I dial in and have the call
transfered to a context to dial out and then have those two channels
bridged, the call disconnects with cause 16 just exactly as Jay R. Ashworth
shows in his CLI output. Bell Canada support RLT or know as 2BCT or TBCT to
some but we have not requested that

ISDN TBCT....
Greetings,
This may be a bit arcane but does anyone know what the contents of a facility message should be for initiating a TBCT on an NI2 ISDN. I've been trying to get it to work on a DMS100 for the last four months to no avail. The message I am currently sending makes it to the switch but is returned with unknown message. Perhaps someone here has done it before and can help me out.

Anyone actively using RLT for mobile phone forwarding?
Hello,
We currently have a scenario where a large percentage of inbound
calls on a telco PRI are intended for professors who aren't currently
in their offices/at their desks.
My question is, is anyone actively using the Asterisk "RLT" (Release
Link Trunking) feature to bounce these sorts of calls back to the
telco? The idea being to forward the call to their mobile phone without

wxruby, XRC, DialogBlock
I''ve been trying to figure out the best method for generating GUI''s with
Ruby. I ended up using DialogBlock because it seems like the fastest
way. But not I have to work backwards and have not done this before.
How do I go from the file I generate in DialogBlock to a code in Ruby?

Changed IP address causing trobule
Hello,
I have problem since we changed our IP address of the server from
192.168.1.16 to 192.168.11 and now Samba's internal KDC doesn't
authenticate any users and it won't let me change DNS records as a result
of that.
Is there any way of "manually" changing IP address in some file somewhere?
Or is there any other way of getting around this?

compatibility of PRI Two B channel transfers TBTC/2BTC
Hello,
A client has asked for Two B channel Transfer capability (known as
TBCT or 2BCT, similar to other features such as ECT, RTL and Q,SIG
Path Replacement) in a new Asterisk system and so I researched the
capability and came up with quite a few gaps in documentation.

Asterisk and TBCT
Hi Guys,
I'm starting to work on Asterisk, trying to see if it will fit our
needs, but so far it seems it doesn't support TBCT(Two B Channel Transfer).
I've found a couple of links that was talking about TBCT, and someone
had posted a bounty for that feature, but no news since 2003.
I've also seen that it seems there is some support in libpri, or work
was done around 2005 for

TBCT - Two B-Channel Transfer
Hi-
A customer of mine running asterisk has inquired if asterisk currently
supports TBCT, that is the ability of asterisk to transfer a call back
up to the carrier's switch to complete a connection, freeing up the
B-channels on the asterisk box.
I saw a reference to this feature in the asterisk "bounties" section on
the Wiki, and someone added a note saying that this might be

Asterisk and DMS100 Channelized T-1
We have a DMS100 that does not have PRI.
So we're using a channelized T1 using WU-LAW, ESF and B8ZS coming from the
DMS100 that's plugged into a Tormenta2 Quad T1 Card on my Asterisk Box
running Debian 3.01(woody) with Kernel 2.4.22.
The Link is up but according to the DMS100, Channel_1 goes into RMB (Remote
Manual Block) and Channel_2 goes into LO (Lock Out).
I've been through all

Bell Canada (Nortel DMS100) PRI Outbound CNAM issue
Hi Folks,
I'm trying to send CallerID Name information out to the PSTN via a PRI
with Bell Canada with no success. With inbound calls (originating from
the PSTN) CNAM is received successfully, and we've not had any similar
problems with other Telco PRIs, so I'm stumped.

No Caller Name sent from Asterisk over Natio nal or DMS100 PRI to a Norstar MICS?
All good information, thanks. However this is private network between
Asterisk and a Norstar MICS about six feet away. So I'm holding both ends of
the link.

2B Channel Transfer on XO-based T1
I'm trying to get "blind transfer" from an incoming DAHDI line to an
external number to work on an * 1.6 install using a T1 from XO. The
documentation is very "distributed" and incomplete, so while it's not
working, it's definitely more likely my error somehow. Couple questions if
anybody is out there who even knows what TBCT is.
1) Is this even

No Caller Name sent from Asterisk over National or DMS100 PRI to a Norstar MICS?
I have a PRI link up and running between Asterisk and a Nortel Norstar MICS
v4.1 . I'm having a problem getting the textual Caller Name across the link
from Ast to Ns, however numeric Caller ID arrives and displays fine. From Ns
to Ast both elements come through fine. I'm forcing dummy values for testing
using:
exten => s,1,SetCIDName(Test)
exten => s,2,SetCallerID(1234561234)

PRI DMS100 -> Nortel Meridian Option 81
Hello all,
I have Asterisk 1.2.1 and a TE110P connected to a Nortel Meridian Option
81C system. The PRI line is currently setup as DMS100. Here are the
relevant lines from zaptel.conf and zapata.conf:
zaptel.conf:
span=1,1,0,esf,b8zs
bchan=1-23
dchan=24
loadzone = us
defaultzone = us
zapata.conf:

language=en
context=from-internal
musiconhold=default
switchtype=dms100

PRI Gurus ONLY - Too complex of an issue - SOLVED
Told you it was too complex of an issue :-) I figured to do this in
zapata.conf and all is fine now:
transfer=no
That was the magic two letter which was sending a request for RLT feature on
the line. Set transfer to "no" and all worries gone.
Thanks for the input everyone.

New T100P Pri install suggestions?
In the next week or so, we'll be turning up a new T1 Pri from Cox Cable
in Omaha using a T100P (installed but not yet configured). While discussing
the interface parameters with a very knowledgable Cox engineer, we decided
on some of the basics including b8zs, esf, dchan=24, callerid, 5 digits
of called number forwarded to *, and switchtype=national (NI2). They
indicated their CO switch is a

T1 versus PRI
Hello All,
I was wondering. What are the primary advantages to using a PRI over a
T1? As I understand it, the PRI terminates very fast, meaning you can
do immediate answer and dial... This is very handy on the BRI line I
have on the asterisk.
Can T1 signalling also do immediate answer, or does it just behave like
a channelized pots line and ring as usual?
I am trying to determine if I should

Problems with losing D-Channel on
Hello all,
I got a problem at an asterisk server, with dropping calls, losing all
channels and reaktivating all channels and beeing back up.
This problem seems to occure randomly over the whole day, when it gots
traffic on the card.
After looking @ google I found several hints but none did work fine.
To avoid problems with the phone line (german E1) I called the provider, he
did a 45 min. route

Handling two lists of matrices
I'm having trouble setting up the function call to handle two lists of
matrices. Each list has 6 matrices - Each matrix is 20x10. I need to
do some basic math on corresponding matrices in each list.
Here are some outputs of these lists, etc...
