I've opened port 139 on the router, set up NetBEUI, placed entries in the clients' hosts & lmhosts files. For some reason, the clients can logon to

Sipura SPA-3000 vs Linksys SPA3000
Hallo! I had ordered a Sipura SPA-3000 in the UK, but the supplier turned out to be unreliable and never shipped. Yesterday I went looking for alternative suppliers and found the Linksys SPA3000 device. It's a different box, but the specs look very similar. Is this the same device? Has anyone used this Linksys SPA3000 successfully with Asterisk? Thanks, Frank

Root cannot delete files through samba share
Dear, We are integrating Samba with Active Directory in the company. The goal is to provide a samba share to users of AD. In this case, we need all users to write on the share, but nobody modify or delete any files. Even the user who owns it. With this, we would create only one AD user, if necessary with root powers, which could erase everything. For this, we test several lines, such as

Cisco 7960 become UNREACHABLE behind pix firewall

The only way to make the phones recover is to clear the NAT translation tables for the phones on the PIX (clear xlate...) Does anyone know how to fix this? As you can imagine, it is quite annoying. And it does not

filter policy drop and allow transparent proxy
Trying to use the policy drop rule with the bridged firewall, when I removed the first line the transparent proxy works great? It seems a bit strange as from reading several articles on it I thought the following occurs. 1st line - if it doest match it gets dropped on the local filter input. 2nd line - redirects the traffic off the link layer into the network layer ready for line 3. 3rd line -
