Debugging LowerTypeTests in LLVM Using GDB
Hi, I am looking into Control-Flow Integrity for indirect function calls, implemented with jump tables. I want to step through the code that produces these jump tables in GDB. I have built clang and opt from source with debugging symbols. I believe this code lives in llvm/lib/Transforms/LowerTypeTests.cpp, but when I try to debug *opt* by running the command "run -lowertypetests cfi-icall.bc

Preserve userfield on CDR on attended transfer
I'm attempting to link calls together in my CDR and would like to try to do it via the userfield. Is there any way to copy the userfield between calls when doing an attended transfer? I can't seem to find anything about it searching Google. -Jon

CDR userfield not written into DB
Hi everybody, i've been googling for quite some time now but can't find an answer to my problem... I'm using Asterisk 1.2.12.1 with mysql as the cdr backend. In the dialplan i've written exten => 1234,n,Set(CDR(userfield)=blah) exten => 1234,n,Answer() exten => 1234,n,Queue(.....) exten => 1234,n,Hangup() When I'm doing a call I can see that the statement is

CDR issue - Problem logging CDR(userfield) in Master.csv
Dear all, I am having an issue with CDR logging. What I want to do is log jitter variable from RTPAUDIOQOS module into Master.csv at the end of each call. I am using asterisk version 1.4.26. For CDR purposes, I am using cdr_custom, and the content of my cdr_custom.conf is the following: [mappings] Master.csv =>

userfield not logged to CDR
Hi, I'm logging cdr via odbc to mysql. It seems that there is an intermittent problem where the CDR(userfield) isn't written to the database. The rows all seem to be there, but that specific field is missing. The same dialplan. Nothings changed. Probably 1 in 10 is missing the userfield. Any ideas how I can debug this? Many thanks Dan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

Set CDR userfield in a realtime dialplan
Hello, I'm using Asterisk with Realtime extensions and ODBC CDR. And I'm have some trouble with the CDR userfield that is not changed when using the SET command in the realtime dialplan. In my dialplan (extensions.conf, the file) I'm setting the userfield like this : exten => s,n,Set(CDR(userfield)="X") Later, my dialplan switches to the realtime part and this is an

Setting `userfield` from within a callfile
Our current Asterisk 1.6.2.9 setup includes a CGI auto-dial application (written by someone else before me) which sets up calls by creating files of the general form Channel: SIP/$INSIDE_NUMBER Context: $CONTEXT Extension: $OUTSIDE_NUMBER Priority: 1 CallerId: $INSIDE_NUMBER in /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing/ . It works very well. However, it would be nice to be able to attach an additional

Setting CDR(userfield) from Macro called from feature doesn't work with cdr_mysql
cdr_mysql doesn't set the userfield when it's set inside a macro called from a feature (1.4.25, addons 1.4.8). I have a feature code: autorecord => *1,self,Macro,apprecord The apprecord macro looks like: [macro-apprecord] exten => s,1,Playback(beep) exten =>

Wrong relocation emitted when building shared libraries with Control Flow Integrity
Hello, I am encountering a linking failure when using Control Flow Integrity while building a shared library. It looks like the wrong relocation type is being emitted for functions referenced via the PLT. I am using clang 3.9. The error message I get is: /usr/bin/ld.gold: error: /tmp/lto-llvm-df723d.o: requires dynamic R_X86_64_PC32 reloc against 'free' which may overflow at runtime;

DAHDI with (CDR(userfield)
Hi list, I need some help to improve my cdr, now in my company are asking me how to know which of my phone numbers are most used when receiving calls from the PSTN and incoming the IVR was thinking about using userfield field, and I'm trying to do, I have at the moment 4 channel DAHDI ; DAHDI CHANNEL 3=23XXXXX6 context=in callerid=asreceived group=1 signalling=fxs_ks channel => 3

ThinLTO + CFI
Hi, I’m working on setting up ThinLTO+CFI for a C application which uses a lot of function pointers. While functionally it appears stable, it’s performance is significantly degraded, to the tune of double digit percentage points compared to regular LTO+CFI. Looking into possible causes I see that under ThinLTO+CFI iCall type checks almost always generate jump table entries for indirect calls,

ThinLTO + CFI
I watched Teresa’s talk on ThinLTO from last year’s CppCon, and it sounded like adding global variable information to the summaries was in the works, or at least in planning. Can someone (Teresa?) please share the current status? If it’s part of future plans, are there any specific proposals that can be picked up and worked on? Thanks! > On Apr 9, 2018, at 6:51 PM, via llvm-dev <llvm-dev

ThinLTO + CFI
Hi Dmitry, Sorry for the late reply. For CFI specific code generation, pcc is a better person to answer. But on the issue of global variables being optimized, that hasn't happened yet. That would be great if you wanted to pick that up! In your original email example, it seems like the file static i=53 could be constant propagated since there are no other defs, and the code in get_fptr

Set CDR userfield for Queues
Hello, I am using Queue application with multiple agents in each queue. I want to set the CDR(userfield) for each cdr based on the agent answering the call. Is it possible to do this? Thanks

ThinLTO + CFI
Hi Teresa, Thanks for the info! This example is my attempt to reduce FreeBSD kernel to something more manageable :) I will take a look at why globals are not being imported in this case. What’s the best tool to look into ThinLTO objects and their summaries? Most dumping tools don’t seem to like ThinLTO bitcode files… Hopefully Peter can chime in regarding CFI related issues. Thanks. Dmitry.

[RFC] CFI for indirect calls with ThinLTO
Hi, this is a proposal for the implementation of CFI-icall [1] with ThinLTO. Jumptables are generated in the merged module. To generate a jumptable, we need a list of functions with !type annotations, including (in non-cross-dso mode) external functions. Unfortunately, LLVM IR does not preserve unused function declarations, and we don’t want to copy the actual function bodies to the merged

RFC: Harvard architectures and default address spaces
Hello all, I’m looking into solving an AVR-specific issue and would love to hear peoples thoughts on how to best fix it. Background As you may or may not know, I maintain the in-tree AVR backend, which also happens to be (to the best of my knowledge) the first in-tree backend for a Harvard architecture. In this architecture, code lives inside the ‘program memory’ space (numbered 1), whereas data

Opinions on the best wholesale origination/term providers
I've been losing patience with my current provider, a small company called Sellvoip. Their termination is good, and they are asterisk based, but they are understaffed and have no concept of customer service. So I'm shopping. I am interested in the opinions of others on the providers they work with. Here are my criteria, roughly in order a) Decent quality, low latency. In
