T1 PRI shows yellow/red alarm
We are running Asterisk version 1.4.23-1, libpri-1.4.9 and zaptel-1.4.12.1 and two Digium TE220Ps. Debugs are set to 10. We have a T1 PRI connected to the telco. Over the last 4-5 days, we have getting Yellow/Red alarms coming from the T1 PRI. The other two ports in use are connected to internal test switches (Avaya Legend/Avaya Definity), and are not showing any errors.

Explain Yellow Alarm in a Legacy Integration
How would you categorize a Yellow Alarm sensed by the Asterisk side in a Legacy PBX integration? We have a Mitel SX200 connected to an Asterisk(1.2.4) with a TE110P. Twice today (first time in over a month) we received a Yellow Alarm on the TE110P. I have been able to clear it easily by restarting zaptel. Thanks in advance! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

Yellow Alarm issues with second TE410P installed
Hi, Ok, I put the new TE410 into our system last night - This is the second TE410P card. There is also TDM400P in Slot 5 with IRQ 9 which is shared with aic7xxx (SCSI) According to "cat /proc/interrupts", the new card is in the second slot using IRQ 11 (the first card is in slot 1 on IRQ 10 - but always has been). With only the original card install, there has been no issues with

Red or Yellow alarm monitoring
Before I reinvent the wheel, is anyone implementing any monitoring of PRI (or T1) Red or Yellow alarms? I would like to get notified ASAP if this occurs. Or possibly automate the fix since "service zaptel reload" seems to fix my random issue. I was thinking of using tail of the full log file, but my concern is that if there is too much traffic, I will miss the alarm, or if there is

TE405p -- loopback for the phone company?
Feeling once again like an idiot, I come to the list for help... While my carrier (MCI vi PRI, fwiw) was trying to diagnose a problem, they asked me to put my interface in loopback -- and I couldn't figure out what they meant or how to do it. I've plugged a loopback *connector* into my 405p and tested it internally, but they wanted something that, apparently, looped back _their_

E400P woes
We've changed E1 providers and I'm trying to reconfigure an E400P to make it work with the new lines. They're supposedly "standard" EuroISDN lines (in the UK). I'm initially just trying to get a single line up. I have the following in /etc/zaptel.conf: span=1,0,0,ccs,hdb3 bchan=1-15 dchan=16 bchan=17-31 loadzone=uk defaultzone=uk The LED on the back

TE405P + Adit 600 and FXO module - should this work?
Folks, I'm experimenting with bringing multiple (8) analog lines from our local telco into a Carrier Access ADIT 600 channel bank with an FXO module, then having this talk to Asterisk via the T1 TDM controller on the ADIT and a TE405P card. I don't know if this will work well (ie: give me decent echo cancellation, call disconnect supervision, caller ID etc) but I haven't had much

yellow alarm after weeks without trouble
Hi list, I'm getting an error on a E1 link to the telco, after some weeks of operation without trouble. I have an asterisk with a TE405 in passtrough mode: two E1 are connected to the Telco, two E1 are connected to 2 Siemens PaBX. Only 15 channels are used on each E1 (conf is attached). The system has been in production for nearly a year, and does work flawlessly for weeks, then I

E1 yellow alarms
About every hour I see the yellow alarms on all or a number of channels of my PRI which is connected to the dutch telephony network, Asterisk keeps on working fine.... Problem with Connecting PBX to Asterisk
We have an old Telrad 128KSU PBX to which I am trying to connect asterisk in the following manner: Current Setup: Telco-> T1->PBX Desired Setup: Telco-> T1-> Asterisk-> T1-> PBX. I am first trying to setup the Asterisk -> T1->PBX part without disturbing existing setup so I can get asterisk to forward calls to PBX and once that is done, I would try to move the telco

Dynamic SIP outbound usernames?
Hi, I have * set up as a PSTN->VoIP gateway (with an E1 with multiple numbers pointing to it). I'd really like to be able to dial out to a SIP server like so: exten => _X.,1,Dial(SIP/${DNID}@hostname) I.e. the remote SIP server receives a SIP INVITE with a "To:" header containing the dialed number (e.g. 02085555555@computer.company.com). This is equivalent to having a

outbound caller ID problem on PRI
I can't seem to hide and/or set my caller ID from *. I'm using a quite recent (three weeks or so) CVS with an E400P card. I have pridialplan=unknown in zapata.conf and I'm based in the UK. The relevant bit of pri debug looks like this (reformatted to fit 80 char width): > Calling Number (len= 4) [ Ext: 0 > TON: Unknown Number Type (0) >

Pri restarting randomly (TE110P or TE405P)
Hi, we have a E1 pri from Citylink, (they are using Ericsson Engine exchange), that are restarting after 5 - 15 minutes, before and after that we can make calls in and out w/o problems. The cards have been tested in two computers (Atholon XP 2200+ and Celeron 2.6Ghz), are on there own IRQ, not showing any IRQ misses in zttool. It's all correctly configuered - zaptel and zapata (attached). We

RESOLVED - TE405P vs. SoundCard problem (in reality - TE405P No Voice Problem)
Forget the sound card. It isn't related. The subject above should have read 'TE405P No Voice Problem' or something similar. It appears to be a zaptel timing issue, but I have found a workaround. For those of you just tuning in, here is the story: I have a CentOS/Intel 865 box currently running Asterisk 1.2.7.1 and zap 1.2.5, both compiled from the source available off the main
