Help getting our application working
Hi there, I'm one of the developers of Hero Lab ( http://www.wolflair.com/hero_lab ), and I'm trying to investigate a problem that our users are having running Hero Lab under WINE. The user says he receives the following messages before Hero Lab hangs or crashes: > ~/.wine/drive_c/HeroLab$ wine HeroLab.exe > fixme:wininet:InternetSetOptionW Option INTERNET_OPTION_CONNECT_TIMEOUT

mike.exe - It used to work.
mike.exe is Counting at Bridge by Mike Lawerence. It used to work as installed by Windows in a Windows partition and started with wine version 0.0.20050310-1.2 as installed from the debian package on a Sarge box with a 2.6.11 kernel. (It wasn't perfect. The card symbols were odd characters but the program ran with no difficulties.) I switched to debian testing with a 2.6.15

Problem: "Please use registry key HKEY .."
I was able to run a very simple program (Mike Lawrence's Counting At Bridge) with wine although I got symbols for books rather than Spades, Hearts, etc. It no longer works. Wine brings up a blank window with usual File Book Options Help banner. The only choice for File is exit and, if this is chosen, the window closes and wine reports exited with favorable status. After this exit the

application on server
Hi! I have Q, we have an application in the office that needs to be run on every computer. It is a "client interface" to our buisness database. On the MS machines, this one is run as a shortcut to the .exe file that resides on the fileserver. This, and 4 lines in the registry is all that is needed.(except for some DLL's of course) So, can I do something similar with wine on a Linux

Wine and USB scanner access ?
Hi, I'm using latest Wine (20050310) with Debian sid (kernel 2.6.11). I own an USB 1.1 scanner : Agfa SnapScan 1212U. I successfully installed ScanWise software provided by the vendor (2.0.0.9 version) but when I launch it, it behaves as if the scanner's light wasn't on, or it was unplugged : it asks for me to connect the scanner. Below is the debugging info. I also tried to

Wine dummy-spitting
I've got a real problem with the debian (unstable) wine 0.0.200202228-1 Whenever I try to run a windows executable - of any sort, although it's Jeskola Buzz in the example I've attached - wine cheerfully spits the dummy. I realise that the DRIVE_Init warnings are ignorable, but #warn:dosfs:DOSFS_FindUnixName 'config\system' not found in ... #warn:dosfs:DOSFS_FindUnixName

"Out of memory" install error message
Hi folks, I've been trying to install a legacy 16-bit Windows app called Expensable, published about 7 years ago by Intuit. Over the years I've run it natively, under Win-OS/2, and under Wine with a native Windows partition. Never a problem. Now that I've removed the Windows partition from my Linux box, I've set up Wine to work with fake Windows. The installation is fine, and

can't run DirectX applications properly - window garbled
Hello, I have searched, read and tried everything I can think of, but without success. So I really need some help here. The application I am currently trying to use is PixPlant, but I have the same problems with other apps using directx or opengl (I am totally confused now) to display some content. PixPlant is a program for generating textures. It has an area in its main window where it displays

'Windows' path using GetFullPathName() -- code below. My question is how best to do the opposite -- not necessarily from a 'Windows' program. Ex., given a path such as 'C:\PRETEST\GEM01494\GEM01494.RTF', how do I get '/home/justin/.cxoffice/dotwine/fake_windows/pretest/GEM01494/GEM01494.rtf'? I currently have a 'solution' using a lookup table {
