ExtensionState problems using Manager.conf API
This is my first attempt to write software of any sort. What I am
trying to is to use a .php page to query asterisk Manager and get the
ExtensionState for each particular extension. Then when it has the
answer it outputs an XML file for use as the directory on a Cisco 7960
phone. What I am thinking is that when the user hits the directory
button to veiw the directory that is at this URL it will

CISCO 7940 and directory/services problem
I have quite successfully set up the Services button to work on the 7940
running SIP.
I have a metric-imperial converter, a foreign exchange rate calculator, a
calendar etc available to users.
The XML is really fussy though.

XML to monitor queues on Cisco display ?
Jean-Louis curty to Asterisk
More options 4:38pm (7 minutes ago)
Hi everybody,
I'd like to know if anybody tried to write a xml doc to monitor the
number of calls in Q, when working with an ACD it's convenient to see
how many calls are waiting so the agent can speed up the conversation
when it gets too busy :-)
I was wondering if it was poss to display this info on a display of a

Er,there it is. I want to use samba to build a domain. I want to join computers into this domain. And I need to access this domain to get sid of computers in the domain, using C# class DirectoryEntry as 'ldap://my domain info' in my another program.

Cisco 79xx users/consultants, 7970G color in particular share information (was: Re: asterisk-users Digest, Vol 44, Issue 3)
The documentation of how to use the 79xx series' phones and features
with Asterisk is really hard to find and put together. The higher end
phones like 7970 are more like converged PC+phone, a thin client to
telephony and network apps. But it's really hard to target it as a
development and deployment platform because the docs and techniques are
so obscure.
There seems to be a fair amount

7970 CTLFile.tlv?
I've got a Cisco 7970 that's not completing its network registration to
Asterisk. The "Registering" message stays on the screen (with the moving
time wheel). After a few minutes, the onscreen message flashes "Updating
CTL" then "Loading...", then the status messages update with:
No valid CAPF server
File Not Found: CTLFile.tlv

Cisco 79xx users/consultants, 7970G color in particular share information
I would like to get in contact with users/consultants who are or have
worked with the Cisco phones and Asterisk to trade information.
Cisco has reluctantly made SIP available on their phones and most of the
information on voip-info and other wiki's appears to be reverse
engineered. There is a wealth of information out there which is
terrific.
I have a client with about 40 phones

Cisco 79xx firmware
I have several Cisco 79xx phones (7905, 7920, 7940, 7960, 7970, ATA 186) and I need to buy firmware for them. I have contacted http://www.cdw.com and http://www.insight.com/ but they didn't respond.
Can anybody tell me where can I buy SCCP and SIP firmware for my phones?
BTW, I'm in Croatia (Hrvatska). I heard that location does matter.

Cisco 79xx + asterisk + some functions Q
Hi,
I am new to Asterisk and have some general questions _before_
I start buying equipent to install and get everything up-and-running.
(this means I have no running Asterisk (yet)).
I have read already a lot of doc, but some things are not
clear to me, since I'am inexperienced in Asterisk and PBX.
The goal:
Make PBX using Asterisk and Cisco 79xx equipment for 25
phones (1 x 7970, 4 x 7960,

Cisco 7970 SIP upgrade issues
Dear Asterisk People,
I am having problems putting a SIP image on a 7970. I was wondering if anyone can help?
First problem is the phone is running version
Load IDJar70.2-5-47-17.sbn
Boot Load ID7970_64054100.bin Version5.0(0.6S)
So I did read that you couldn't simply put the latest SIP image on such an old phone and a newer firmware version should be used.
I got

So bath samba 4.7.6 and 4.8.0 hava this problem. Can it be comfirmed to be a bug? If so, it seems to be an important issue that should be resolved as an important function of a DC.
Up to now I only have samba 4.5.x that work normal. But 4.5.x won't have new version any more. While I want to keep my samba to be the newest security version. Hope this problem get resolved soon.
Thanks for your

NEWS: SIP Firmware Available for Cisco 7970
I've just recieved a copy of the new SIP firmware for the Cisco 7970,
those of you with Cisco accounts may wish to try it (shock horror I'm
sticking with SCCP).
This coincides with the release of v8 firmware for all Cisco phones (and
for those of you running Sergio's chan_sccp v8 works fine)
The firmware is now also (and for the 7970 SIP, only) distributed in
".cop" files,

cisco 7970 sccp
Does anyone have the 7970 work with sccp?
I have used the example configurations from the wiki.
I can see that the phone is failing to retrieve the
CTLSEP<MAC>.tlv file and then is able to retrieve the
SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml file. The phone is hanging with the
message "updating ctl".
Thanks,
John

Cisco 7970 with skinny on * 1.4.1

As chan_sccp is pretty much dead, doesn't compile on FBSD anyway
and isn't supported on * 1.4.x I tried going with chan_skinny...
The Cisco 7970 registers and is being acknowledged by * but that's it...
I see no lines on the 7970 display configured and it is not reachable
or it can't make any outboudn calls...
The docs are pretty non-existent for skinny and the
