Default delay time for Attended call
A call comes in from the PSTN, Asterisk answers it, it goes to the directory, and then to the extension the caller designates and the user at that extension answers. The user at the extension then wants to transfer the call to another extension; on the Cisco 7940 they push the ?more? soft key, then the ?Transfer? soft key, then enter the extension number they want to transfer to, and hit the

playing vorbis file stored in a buffer array
Hi, I'm building an rtsp client/server that will support vorbis and I'm trying to determine the best way to play the vorbis content as the array is continuously being filled. Currently, I can download an ogg file via rtsp and write it out to a FILE and then play_file (from ogg123) it when it's done -- so the file is in the correct format. What would you recommend? -- Wayne Davis

Samba 4 dns-resolv-prob with different subnets [SOLVED]
Hello all, The prob is solved. The dns-answer only seemed to come from the asked nameserver. Between the two endpoints of the vpn the gateways have a transparent dns-proxy which forwarded my dns-request not the wanted dns-server but sent not-found-answers pretending to be the intended ns. Not easy to find such a pitfall :( Thanks again, -Peter -----Urspr?ngliche Nachricht----- Von: Peter

No connection between nodes on same LAN
Hi all, I am currently deploying tinc as an alternative to OpenVPN. My setup includes a lot of nodes and some of them are sitting together behind the same router on the same network segment. (E.g. connected to the same switch.) I noticed, that those nodes do never talk directly to each other via their private ip-addresses, but instead use the NATed address they got from the router.

Exim on all interfaces
Hi. I have a default installation of Exim with only a few changed settings. It appears to only bind to the loopback interface. I have not set any local_interfaces values, as the default behaviour is to bind on all interfaces. But alas, exim does not respond on its IP address: [root at obiwan ~]# /etc/init.d/exim restart Shutting down exim: [ OK ]

DHCP/DNS server for LAN with mainly Windows clients : Outlook Express vs. Webmail problem
Hi, I recently setup a CentOS 5 file server for a small LAN consisting of 15 Windows XP clients. The LAN is eventually expected to migrate to Linux, at least some of the client machines. The previous setup made by a local Windows-only computer firm was an unhealthy mix of static and dynamic IP addresses with conflicting adresses, etc. First thing I undertook was clean up this mess by setting
