Wine / Warcraft 3 Problem but I'm sure anyone can help.
Hi, I am desperately trying to get keyboard input in wine when it is not windowed, or alternatively stop my mouse cursor from leaving the wine window when it is in window mode. I am using wine 20030219 with RH 8.0, trying to play Warcraft 3. Keyboard issue: When I run wine without the desktop window switch - "Desktop" = "1024x768", any keys pressed go straight to the

Mouse focus in Wine
Hi, If I play a game in Wine - either Caesar III or Half Life come to mind right now - they seem to work better for me in a windowed setup where the game is not full screen and I can still see the rest of my Gnome desktop in the background. Caesar III plays well under Cedega or Wine, HL much better under Cedega, but the point being that I've tried both. The frustration I've had is

Cannot compile 3.0.x on Solaris 9
Dear list, is there anyone who successfully compiled a Samba 3.0.X on a Solaris 9 box? I tried severl versions of Samba 3.0.* on five rather differently configured Solaris 9 boxes (Sparc) and ALWAYS get a build error on dynconfig.c Sometimes it seems to be a missing ldap-preprocessor define (which is protested by the compiler although I configured --with-ldap=NO), sometimes it is a header file

Starcraft & Keyboard Problems
I'm sorry if this is a re-post - I switched news servers and it's not showing up on the new one. Here goes: I'm trying to run Starcraft fullscreen using xinit: xinit /usr/bin/wine ./starcraft.exe -- /usr/X11R6/bin/X :1 -screen Starcraft This runs SC in full-screen mode, no window manager, a separate X server, DGA-enabled, the whole 9 yards. Starcraft starts and looks great.

[PATCH] Fix qemu-dm segfault when multiple HVM domains ---Was: qemu-dm segfault with multiple HVM domains?
Hi, John Can you try the attached patch ? This issue can be reproduced on SMP platform, while the domain 0 is UP. The reason is, after finishing a dma request, the dma thread will trigger the interrupt and then clear the call back function. When guest get the interrupt , it will try to check the call back function, if it is set, then it will trigger a dma request again. So if the checking for

g_dbus_connection_real_closed when starting lightdm
Hi, I made the switch from KDE4->XFCE, and because gdm takes more time than xfce to start I would like to replace it with lightdm. I installed lightdm, set it as default display manager and configured the gtk greeter. However, when I start I only get a black screen (x running) and nothing else happens. When I start it as root with the --test-mode argument, I get the following message: lightdm

re-getting keyboard focus
When you loose keyboard focus in a game (say, Diablo 2) in wine, I haven't found a way to re-get it. The mouse works fine but the keyboard does not work once you loose the focus (for example by clicking outside the ddraw area). Any solutions ? Also, is there a way to "ALT+TAB" out of wine ? Because I was thinking maybe DXGrab = Y could help this, but it is too dangerous to enable

ActiveRecord''s has_many, allways fetched from db?
Hi all, say I have a class Container has_many :items end and class Item belongs_to :container end Now if I fetch a container from the db cont = Container.find :first and then call cont.items 1000 times, does this result in 1000 db queries(for the items of the container)? Thanks Clemens -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Nouveau fails to initialize G94GL / Quadro-FX1800 on aarch64 board
Hi again, Some further digging revealed that NVPlatformProbe is called with the flag PLATFORM_PROBE_GPU_SCREEN, so the flag XF86_ALLOCATE_GPU_SCREEN is passed to xf86AllocateScreen. After xf86AllocateScreen I end up with xf86GPUScreens == 1 and xf86NumScreens == 0. The xf86GPUScreens seems to be ignored by all the following code, only xf86NumScreens is evaluated afterwards in xf86BusConfig:

rsync without reverse dns lookup
Hello, I set up an script witch connects my rsyncd server. But the IPs for rsyncd Server and Client have no DNS Name, and so rsync trys to lookup for a DNS Name for this IPs. This causes a long DNS Timeout! My question: is there a commandline option to disable this "feature"? Or can you give me quick "hack around"? Best regards -- Clemens Gesell <cgesell@astaro.de> |

Text sometimes missing on NV18 based laptop
Hi, On my NV18 based laptop I experience artifacts related to text (however, 2D performance is really great these days): - With grayscale AA text is sometimes missing, often visible on the XFCE desktop - With subpixel (rgb) AA, even non-text related occur (icons are misrendered, ...) I've reported the issues here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81283 With noaccel it works

Summer of Code project idea
Hi, Will btrfs/oracle mentor students for this year''s "Google Summer of Code 2011"? I would like to work on a Windows-IFS driver which uses coLinux as a "backend" - and therefor support all Filesystems the Linux kernel has drivers for. Although not as cool as a native btrfs driver for windows, in the long term this could be even more profitable for btrfs - without
