Dialtone when automatically picking up.
I'm in the process of setting up a 'phone tree', and are running into some problems. My goal is for users to dial a phone number, the asterisk system picks it up, plays the greeting, and users can type whatever they want into the system. What actually happens is users dial the phone number, asterisk picks up and additionally goes off-hook on another line, plays the greeting and

X100P check for Dialtone
Is there any way to make the X100P to check for a dialtone before dialing? My roommate is tired of hearing random dialing in his ear when he's on the phone (same circuit as the X100P). I know one solution is to just put in a TDM400P for the house, but I'd rather get away w/o having to do that. Thanks, Jared

Autoreply: Queue stats
Greetings, list! My boss would like some statistics on how many calls are answered out of specific queues during a given time period, and I'm not sure how exactly to obtain those stats. Here's how our queue system works. 1) Call comes in and enters our 'ring' queue where the phones ring for 15 seconds (caller hears the standard ring tone). 2) After 15 seconds, the caller

It sounds like you've got quite the queue setup (although I don't quite see why your calls jump out and back into the moh queue). All the of queue

User picks up phone, hears another call, not dialtone
First of all - Many, many thanks to Mark for his troubleshooting and fix of bug 1320 (FXO_KS signalled Zap Channels on Adtran 750 Channel Bank Stuck in Rsrvd State). I have heard complaints that once every couple weeks, when a user picks up their analog phone (t1 span off of a TE410P into an Adtran 750 with 6 FXS cards), they don't get dialtone, but instead, hear another conversation.

[Fwd: TDM40B - "Unable to play dialtone on channel X" ?]
Hi everyone, Sorry for forwarding and top-posting this email again but its as if my TDM40b has keeled over yesterday. After a few hours last night and swapping the card to another asterisk server (with exactly the same result) I needed to have the FXS ports working ASAP this morning so I have repaced the functionality of the TDM40b with some Grandstream handytones which I already had in

new application Dialtone()
Hello, I created a new application for myself called Dialtone() by modifing res/res_indications.c file. It can be used as such: exten => s,4,Dialtone(30|${CALLERIDNUM}) exten => s,5,Playback(time-exceeded) exten => s,6,Goto(s|1) It will stutter if you have new voicemail and you have passed the mailbox number as I did above. It will stop dialtone the moment you press a key

Help Getting Local Exchange Dialtone on PRI
Hi there, i have a Problem with dialtone and a TE401P Card. I swear I surfed the wiki, the mailing list and google for 4 hours and did not find the solution, can you help me ? In Germany I have an E1-Line and an Alcatel 4200 PRO PBX. Without using asterisk I dial the "0" on an Alcatel Phone and have the local exchange dialtone, then I can dial. Most users do not dial en block, they
