Few questions about Asterisk
Hello, I have few questions about Asterisk. I installed Asterisk from CVS on FreeBSD and I made cvsup 2 days ago. 1.I couldn't find Asterisk version using "asterisk -V" command. How can I to find version information? 2.I am using Wildcard X101P (FXO) and Wildcard TDM400P REV E/F (FXS)on it. I tried Asterisk CallerID feature, but unable to get it. I tried callerid signaling V23,

Weird issues with TDM400P
We have a TDM400P installed here with four FXS modules. It works well except for a couple of issues: First, I have a Panasonic KX-TG2431 telephone (so others can reach me when I am in o ther parts of the building) hooked up to one of the FXS ports. When the other end hangs up, I get the usual CPC disconnect signal. After the CPC, sometimes it will go to a dialtone, and other times a

VoIP gateway (2 FXO, 2 FXS)
Does anyone know a good (and stable) voip gateway product with 4 ports (2 fxo and 2 fxs), with the following requirements: * being able to connect analog phones to the FXS ports, and communicate over SIP with an REGISTRAR/PROXY server (SER in our case). * being able to connect the FXO port to local office PSTN network, and dial to that office pstn number and getting an internal dialtone, or

Major problems with TDM400 and specific telephones: suggestions?
Hello! Attached to the bottom of this e-mail is an edited version of an e-mail I originally wrote to Digium tech support regarding Ouch and Power alarm errors I have been receiving on my TDM400. It contains a great deal of detail regarding my setup. In the end, I have found that one of the 5 phones I'm trying to make work with Asterisk is contributing to the generation of these errors.

FXS and PBX Integration
Hi All, I got a doubt about something I want to do with asterisk. I have this office (site a) with only a Panasonic analog PBX and another office (site b) with an Asterisk Box with an ADIT 600 . I want to interconnect both via IAX. Is it possible to put a new asterisk box in site a without the channel bank and put a card (FXS or FXO???) and connect it to the pbx as a CO line ? What

Secondary Dialtone and selecting a specific line from Zap/g
I need to select a line from the Zap group channel using the SIP Phone (not FXO and not FXS ports). ignorepat does not work? Also, what is the method to let the second dial tone has another tone frequency? Regards Bilal ---------------- No, ignorepat is for FXS ports (FXS ports use FXO signaling). Also, ignorepat does not apply to SIP phones, because SIP phones provide their own dialtone,

Hook Flash INFO messages
Here is a question that needs a few opinions... Recently we installed a couple of FXS gateways into a site with a SIP Proxy/Softswitch other than Asterisk. One of the things that the users on this site need to do is receive calls on single line phones on the FXS gateways and then hookflash and transfer them to other SIP users. We found that the FXS units, true to their nature as VoIP gateways,

FXS - Don't want a Dailtone
Does anyone know of a way to make a standard analog phone plugged into an FXS port do something other than get a dialtone when you pick it up? For example, if the phone should automatically ring someone or play a greeting when picked up without having to enter an extension? - Robert -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... TDM400P FXS works only if two lines are off hook?
I have a TDM400P with one FXO module and two FXS modules in it. I also have a Wildcard X101P. After trying hard to get things working on various Intel computers, but having echo problems that made it not really usable, I decided to try it on some older PowerPC (Macintosh) hardware running Yellow Dog Linux. Things started off smoothly. Both zaptel and asterisk seemed to compile okay, and both

Asterisk 1.0.5 won't pick up incoming calls
Hi All, I have just migrated from Asterisk 1.0.0 to Asterisk 1.0.5 and I have an X100P installed. The old asterisk was working, but now the new version isn't picking up any calls! However, I did notice that after installation, I performed modprobe zaptel and modprobe wcfxo and they worked fine, but when I executed ztcfg, I get the following errors: ioctl(ZT_LOADZONE) failed: Invalid

[Fwd: TDM40B - "Unable to play dialtone on channel X" ?]
Hi everyone, Sorry for forwarding and top-posting this email again but its as if my TDM40b has keeled over yesterday. After a few hours last night and swapping the card to another asterisk server (with exactly the same result) I needed to have the FXS ports working ASAP this morning so I have repaced the functionality of the TDM40b with some Grandstream handytones which I already had in

Calls from analog/FXS phone?
I've got a 400P, with a couple FXO's and and FXS. I've got an analog plugged into the FXS, and it gets dialtone fine. However, whenever I press any digits, I get the doo-dah, doo-dah "unhappy" sound. I've got a functioning FXS system at home, but I was trying to plug this into an AMP-created configuration, and having no luck. Can someone -- especially if they used AMP

My configuration for my CAC is 12FXO/12FXS. A few days ago, I was looking at my zapata.conf and started wondering if 1 maybe my configuration could be off. TDM400 seems healthy, but no dialtone??
Folks, I recently swapped a TDM400 FXS card that was working perfectly into a new server (running recent CVS), and it's either misbehaving (unlikely), or I've missed something obvious (much more probable). Everything seems to be working, but I can't get any dialtone from it when I plug a phone into any of the 4 ports!! All of the jacks are lit (green lights) but they all seem dead

Bad FXS Module?
I apparently have a dead FXS module. Is there any kind of test I can run on it (on a live system) to determine if its good or bad? The telephone has no dialtone, gets no calls. It has been working for several months, and just quit yesterday. Thanks! Asterisk, she no hang uppa the phone!
I've been working on the local side of asterisk for several days, and I have the in-house dial plan pretty well corn fingered to my satisfaction. Today I began working on the other side to make asterisk do things like place an outgoing call to PSTN and route an incoming call from PSTN. I'm using a TDM11B with a single fxs and a single fxo. My analog handset is plugged into the port
