Synology shares not accessible...
I have had many discussions with Synology about this and other attitudes they have been displaying in the last few years. Also if you log into their NAS, using ssh and take a look at some of the comments that have been added into the "ETC" configs, it makes it very clear. They have also been removing any posts relating to methods or help given in the forums that relate to SAMBA ,

connecting asterisk (trixbox) to traditional phone lines?
Ok, I have trixbox working how I want. How do I now (cheaply as possibly) get a phone number so people can call it from any number? I am just doing a prototype so just want it done cheaply so I can demo it to my supervisors. Thanks! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Synology shares not accessible...
This is the essence of the last message from Synology: For Synology the problem is no problem... They simply say now, we never claimed we are compatible with Samba AD, only with Windows AD, Azure AD and Synology Directory Server: ?? ?"Domain/LDAP ?? ?Features ??? Seamless integration with Windows AD, Azure AD Domain Service, and LDAP servers" See:

Grandstream x Asterisk 1.0 RC1 x VOIPJet
Sirs/Ladies, Not sure if anyone saw anything like that before... I was playing with an Asterisk setup with a Grandstream BT101 (1.0.5.11) and www.voipjet.com (IAX2). The other devices I have home (Sipura 3k and DTA-310) seem to work just fine, but the Grandstream seems to suffer from one-way voice (remote end can't hear me). The only workaround I found so far (have not spoken with VOIPJet

PRI Test Equipment
Hey All, I am looking for some advice on setting up a test lab for Asterisk systems that I plan to install at client sites. Most clients will be using PRI. Does anyone have any suggestions on equipping a lab to be able to test Asterisk servers with T1 cards and SIP phones? I have seen some test equipment around the internet, but I'm not sure what the best is. I have also thought about

Ideas on how to convert spoken name to text (or wav to text)..speech recognition software?
I'm interested in taking a persons spoken recorded name (First, Last) and converting the two spoken words to text. Is there any solutions out there that would make this possible? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Missing connect indication on pri?
[This email is reposted without the log attaced. I have added more information to the end of this email as well] CVS head (unmodified) current as of today. We have asterisk connected to both the pstn and our pbx via two E1 pri connections. We use overlap dialing to cope with different number lengths in Sweden. Incoming calls work perfectly. Outgoing calls seem to not get the repsonse it

No Caller ID Name PRI NI2.
Okay, now I am really confused. I have two PRI's coming in from two different Carriers (QWEST and ELI), both of them are supposed to be setup to pass name and number on incoming calls. Problem that I am having is that I am not receiving inbound caller id name on either PRI, the only thing that both carriers have in common is that I am terminating into a DMS switch at the carrier.

[LLVMdev] [lldb-dev] RFC: LLVM should require a working C++11 <thread>, <mutex>, and <atomic>
When LLVM's configure finds a usable <pthread.h>, it prefers to use that rather than the home-grown stuff. However if LLVM is configured with --disable-pthreads, both mingw flavors produce the same results. BTW, I've tried to quantify the slowdown: a quick test indicates that LLVM build that uses pthreads is about 10% slower than the one which doesn't. This is less that I

CallerID ANI issues
Hello, We're having some issues with CallerID and I thought someone here might be able to shed some light as none of our carriers seem to know what I'm talking about. The issues is this: A client of ours uses an after-hours voicemail service as mandated by their corporate office. We have a Day/Night setting that lets them turn this on and off. A call comes in from one of their
