Basic connection between Mitel 3300 ICP and Asterisk (trixbox) - from a clueless newbie....
Hi all,
Our company has deployed a Mitel 3300 system (only about 2.5 years ago)
and we are experimenting with setting up Asterisk in our head office
(for business continuity, ie we have a bird flu epidemic and no-one can
come in, therefore use SIP softphones at home to co-ordinate activity)
and at a remote site in the Isle of Man (connected via 2Mbps SDSL)
Ideally we'd like anyone on either

Mitel 5010
Does anyone know if this phone can or does work with Asterisk ? I have a
potential client who wants to throw away their current mitel ip system
(keeps crashing on a regular basis - not good for a phone-based company),
but are reluctant to purchase new handsets.
Thanks.
Julian.

Receiving 404 Not Found on all outbound calls when attempting SIP trunking between * 1.2.22 and Mitel 3300 CX
We are attempting to configure SIP trunking between asterisk 1.2.22 and a
Mitel 3300 CX box. The Mitel machine will gateway to the PSTN for us. I
found this earlier post about doing this from July:
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2007-July/191630.html
Unfortunately the promised configs never came ;(. We're having the exact
reverse problem: we can register with the Mitel

Anyone familiar with getting Asterisk 1.4 and Mitel 3300 to play nice together?

CentOS 6.6 KVM Windows 7 Pro VM Device USB 04e8:6860
I have a CentOS 6.6 system running KVM with a Win 7 Pro VM. Over the
weekend I was playing around with the VM trying to get it to see my
Samsung Note 4. Apparently I removed the phone without removing the
hardware from the VM. Now the VM will not start because Device USB
0438:6860 is not there. I tried to remove the hardware from the VM using
virt-manager but that does not remove the error

MeetMe time doesn't show up in CDRs?
Hello,
I'm working on some dialplan rules to pull multiple users into a
conference call. I have some fairly straightforward rules which start
up a new MeetMe conference, allow escape with the * key to invite more
users, then use a features.conf sequence to bring the new user into
the conference with ChannelRedirect.
The problem I'm running into is the time in the MeetMe conference

Histogram omitting/collapsing groups
I have two large datasets (156K and 2.06M records). Each row has the
hour that an event happened, represented by an integer from 0 to 23.
R's histogram is combining some data.
Here's the command I ran to get the histogram:
> histinfo <- hist(crashes$hour, right=FALSE)
Here's histinfo:
> histinfo

package load altering RNG state
Hello
When loading a package, I'm wondering if it's frowned upon for the
package to alter the state of the random number generator? I guess not,
since the parallel package does it?

indexing within a function
Hello all,
I've got a large set of data consisting of 2 continuous numerical
variables, and 2 factors. I'm trying to write a function that will
draw scatter plots of the 2 numerical variables for various
combinations of the factors. The problem is that my function doesn't
seem to understand what I want it to do even though the command works
fine outside the function. Here is

an object of class lm returned by lm?
Can someone tell me what an object of class lm returned by lm means? I
assumed it mean the regression model - but I'm not sure how to enter
this in. I have tried
y~a+b
but this is not working. I have also tried saving the regression
results and entering these, but again this is incorrect.
This language is from the following:

"x" permission interpretation under Windows
Hi
How does Windows interpret the 'x' attribute for the file's 'other' attribute
field?
If I give a *file* a 0775 permission Windows XP clients cannot see the file.
Not even the group members.
If I change this permission to 0774 the file becomes visible to everyone.
(smbclient sees the file either way).
This file in under a directory which has 2775 as permission and

spatial modeling
I am new to R and have a question about spatial econometrics. I have
noticed that you can easily test for spatial autocorrelation with the
spdep package, but was wondering if any code has been written to correct
for spatial autocorrelation? Or if there is any literature on this?
Thanks. -Jill

subscriber state before dial
Hi All
After a Dial() I get:
WARNING[7964][C-000075a8]: app_dial.c:2437 dial_exec_full: Unable to create
channel of type 'SIP' (cause 20 - Subscriber absent)
if the subscriber is not registered.
Is there a way from dialplan to know, *before* Dial(), if a destination
Subscriber is
a) not registered or
b) busy ?
I need to redirect a call to some other Subscriber if (s)he is not there
