Hello List! We have problems setting the right caller id on outgoing calls. The Asterisk Pbx is located in Bucarest(Romania), our Telco provider is rcs-rds.ro. We have the local telefon number 40787 00-99, associated to our PRI E1 Line. Where 00-99 are the DID numbers available. The telco is aspecting a 3 digit long Callerid from us, for example like "710", for the extension 10.

Okay, now I am really confused. I have two PRI's coming in from two different Carriers (QWEST and ELI), both of them are supposed to be setup to pass name and number on incoming calls. Problem that I am having is that I am not receiving inbound caller id name on either PRI, the only thing that both carriers have in common is that I am terminating into a DMS switch at the carrier.

Hi, I have just set up Asterisk to use an E1 line with a Digium card. And I can call both in and out, but my outgoing line is all ways identifying itself as the same number, and i can't even change it to another number in the same number series. Do anyone have some clue on how to fix this. I'm using Asterisk 1.6.2.13, libpri 1.4.11.4 and DAHDI 2.4.0. /etc/dahdi/system.conf:

XO fixed my caller ID name. I am using FreePBX and I can include a "wait" to my custom extensions. Is there a way to add a wait to the whole PRI? I assume that if I set immediate to yes, I can then have a "s" extension do the wait, but how would it get from the "s" to the DID extension? Hi - I am looking for suggestions for ITSPs for faxing with asterisk 1.8. We are based in the US, so would need an ITSP with US DIDs. #1) We would like to use Fax For Asterisk with asterisk 1.8.4 in order to receive faxes via T.38. Sending faxes is not a requirement. When receiving multiple calling numbers via a PRI for a call setup, I cannot find the ability to select between either first or last. Is there a way to do this currently? I switched PRI vendors recently, and one of my questions was "do you provide caller ID name in addition to number?" AT&T Local did not, But XO communications said they did. hi, on our incoming E1-PRI from german telco Arcor the leading 0 for the (area access code in europe) and the 00 (country accescode in europe) are missing on incoming callerids. only prepending a single 0 is not the solution as suggested by some writers on this list, because there is no way to differ between national and international callerids and it's not possible to make the decission
