ChanSkype
Hello, I recently installed chanskype on my asterisk box and it works like a dream, can phone out. But no idea how to setup the incoming calls, every time I phone my skype name it just connects and disconnect the call right away. I get the following on asterisk -rvvvvvvvvvvvvvv Verbosity was 1 and is now 14 == Sent cmd 'GET CALL 175 TYPE' to fd 18 on Skype dev 'skype1' ==

Chanskype Support
Hello, I bought paid for and used to use ChanSkype for skype connectivity. Now I tried to download the software again after the my old server got retired and someone else is squatting on their website. Can someone give me the latest ChanSkype binaries? Why do I have to rebuy the functionality I've already paid for too? Is digium going to feel for all the people who have to re-buy what they

problems chanskype on ubuntu gutsy
Hi all, I'm trying to install chanskype (http://www.chanskype.com) on an Ubuntu gutsy machine with 2.6.22-14-generic kernel. First I got some compile errors, include linux?capability.h in main.c fixed those errors. Now I'll try to load theier module, but got the following error: insmod: error inserting './ivcs.ko': -1 Unknown symbol in module In dmesg I find: [3123904.331682]

Skype connectivity? Siskyee or chanskype?
Everyone, I need a rock solid reliable way of sending calls from Asterisk to Skype. No need for the other direction. Would chanskype or siskyee be better for this? Does anyone have any experience? The trial versions are so crippled they are useless for testing. Chanskype only lets you test a 15 second call, and siskyee keeps interrupting the conversation so you can't hear the quality.

Re: btrfsck: checksum verify failed
Is anyone interested in some part of this filesystem to figure out how it failed? Or can I erase and start again? I can't call PSTN numbers
Hi all, I hava SER with many clients (sipura SPA2100). One of these is an Asterisk which have others clients (sipuraSPA2100). I also have a Cisco GW which give me access to the PSTN. I make calls to all IP phones in my network, but I can't call PSTN numbers. After I dial, I hear 2 ringbacks but at the same time Asterisk says: Called pstn_number@SER_ip_address SIP/SER_ip_address-ec75 is

Skype + Asterisk
Has anybody ever integrated Skype with Asterisk? If you have, which software would you recommend to accomplish such a task? ChanSkype? And how reliable are the calls? Did the DTMF tones work? Thanks in advance. _________________________________________________________________ Discover sweet stuff waiting for you at the Messenger Cafe.? Claim your treat today!

Booting with Syslinux 6.01 & 6.02 fails, causes restart.
Hi there. I had a quick look through the archives, and I spotted a similar issue being reported in October, but no resolution, unfortunately. "[syslinux] Syslinux 6.02 BIOS" I am booting in legacy (bios) mode on a gpt partition on my laptop. It's a HP ENVY dv7. CPU: Intel i7, BIOS: InsydeH2O version: F. 12 With syslinux 4.06, it boots flawlessly. With syslinux 6.01 and 6.02, the

Ford Tech Serv app does not work
This just an FYI. Yesterday I updated to top of trunk wine and rebuilt and installed. I have a Ford Service CD (for 1999 models) and wine on the exe does not work (on an old Windows ME laptop it all works). The startup.exe sort of seems to work AFAICT, but when it's done and the app exe started the app exe ( installed on disk) cannot seem to find the cd (the app needs the CD, the install

Emerging Tech: Who''s going?
Ryan McMinn as well as myself from Unspace Interactive are going to ETech next week. We know fellow Torontonian David Crow will be there with bells on. And clearly DHH is coming to do his workshop. Who else is coming, and is there any interest in trying to do a Rails BOF during the main conference? Obviously a lot of folks are going to do the workshop, but most people don''t arrive

Wavelet audio codec by Adapted Wave Tech.
Following a post on vqf.com forum, I found out that some company called Adapted Wave Technology is ready to release its audio codec based on wavelets. They say that this wavelet-based codec is superior to MDCT codecs by 30-50%. One sentence caught my attention: "Adapted Wave Technologies holds exclusive patent rights for applying wavelet packets to audio applications." - sounds like a

Which virtualization tech to get PCI assignment ?
Hello, I'm looking for a virtualization technique with which I could easily assign PCI/PCIe boards to virtual machines. If this matters, I don't need to be able to use several boards nor to run several virtual machines at the same time as I'm just looking for a way to easily mimic several production machines on the same hardware and switch from one project to another. In every

Current tech overview?
Is there a technical overview of how GlusterFS distributes files across nodes, which is up-to-date for 3.2? I have found quite a lot of older documentation, from which I see: * "Unify" - it needs a shared namespace brick? - there is a choice of schedulers * "DHT" - can't find out much about this; no matches for "dht" in the wiki - presumably uses a
