Auto dialing Polycoms and other SIP phones
Hi,
Is there a reliable way to auto-dial SIP phones (specifically Polycom) with
some sort of TAPI driver in Windows? I am aware of SIPTAPI, which makes the
user's phone ring, and when picked up dials the desired number, but I (and
more to the point, many of my customers) find this annoying. I'd like the
phone to autodial on speakerphone (or headset if there is one), without any

Using MSAccess to dial on a Zap line
Hello,
We use MS Access 2000 (I know, we're migrating away from it) as an application
to automatically dial phone numbers. The old phone system we have allowed the
call representative using the application to take their phone off hook, push
a button in the app, and the app would send the phone number to the phone
system and dial the number. We are moving to Asterisk for our main phone

Outlook integration?
Hey, all. I was just wondering if there were any
tools/utilities/what-have-you out there that would allow a user to click
on a contact in Outlook, and have their phone dial it? (Or, I guess, have
Asterisk dial both their phone and the destination number, and put the two
into a conference.)
Thanks!

Click-to-dial CTI for Windows
Hello guys,
Is there a decent click-to-dial CTI which works well with Asterisk?
We have vanilla asterisk implementation and I have tried a few (ADA,
Outcall etc) but they have poor documentation and don't work very well.
We are looking for an application which can allow us to dial a number
from Outlook and IE/Firefox for outbound calls and get a pop-up for
inbound calls with call history

Are there any asterisk users/developers who have been working with or
trialing installations of Red5?

Asterisk SIP Microsoft Outlook Integration
Does anyone know how I could integrate my Asterisk setup with Outlook so
that when I click on a phone number is my outlook address book it will
dial the number and ring my SIP phone so that I can just pick it up? I
am interested in this integration for WinXP with Outlook 2003 and
WInVista with Outlook 2007.
Thanks,

Call ID of the second call leg
Hello friends,
I am trying to deeply integrate asterisk cdr with voipmonitor cdr. I can
access the caller Call ID (fbasename field in voipmonitor cdr) looking at
the SIPCALLID variable in asterisk, but how can I access from within
asterisk the Call ID of the second leg of the call (the one originating
from asterisk to the destination peer)? is there a variable holding this
value?
Thank you

Multiple lines on Linksys/Sipura phones
I'm going to be deploying around 30 IP phones with Asterisk in the near
future. I've tentatively settled on the Linksys/Sipura SPA9xx family.
I am unclear on the notion of "lines" in the context of SIP phones like
these. The SPA942 model has a 2-line-to-4-line upgrade available, but I
don't know why I'd need to purchase it.
I have tested a SPA942 with Asterisk, and

Call Quality Measuring
Hi everyone.
We regularly get customers complaining about call quality issues. Most of
the time it turns out to be their own broadband. Very occasionally server

chan_sip and 2 devices under same extension - transferring call endpoint(s)
Sounds like a job for TAPI.
Google TAPI for Asterisk or Asterisk TSP
I've been playing with SIPTAPI and it works pretty well. It's very simple to install and set up.
Hope this Helps

dial out and message playback
Hi,
In a normal PBX environment a user usually calls in and IVR's are played
according to a predefined dialplan.
Iam trying to develop an application where asterisk dials out to a user and
initiates an IVR instead (please note that the IVR is not static and may
vary according to different condtions).
Can someone guide me how this is possible using Asterisk. Do I need to write

dipura 2002 auto dial or intercom
Guys.
Anybody using sipuras 2002 knows if there is a way to make the phones
connected to it to autodial an extension when the phone is picked up?
For example, if the phone is on a police booth (building entrance) and you
want the guys to just pick up the phone and make the phone auto dial the
receptionist extension without the guys having to dial anything (ala
batphone).
Is this possible with

Autodial on off-hook?
I'm looking to build an application which requires a phone to autodial
when the handset is lifted off of the hook.
Since the system will be available to the general public, I want a
solid phone that will withstand abuse, but not be too expensive.
I'm leaning towards using a Sipura adapter with an analog outdoor
handset. However, I don't nor ever have had a sipura adapter, so I'm

Autodial
I'd like to setup an autodial that will do the following:
1. First try call my multiple SIP phones at my house - if no answer within n seconds, try my mobile phone. Alternatively call both SIP phones at home + mobile at the same time.
2. Once someone answer in step 1 (on any phone) initiate calling to a specific phone number/extension
Currently I have it working except that in step 1 I can
