module load order for Junghanns qozap and TDM card
Hi all,
I'm trying to get a junghanns QuadBRI to coexist in the same machine as a
Digium TDM400P card (so I can run the ISDN lines in and bridge with analog
phones plugged into the TDM).
I'm having a problem loading the modules. If I follow the BRIstuff
(0.3.0-pre-1l) install method.... it's to modprobe zaptel, then insmod
qozap.o
I'm on Debian 2.4.31.
That works.
But then I

Asterisk to Avaya PBX using TDM cards
Hi
I'm new in this field, have been reading a lot, and have a little question.
could it be possible to connect an Avaya IP office pbx to asterisk using a
E1/T1/Pri?
Original instalation:
Telefone company|Pri--->Pri|IP Pffice
My Question:
Telefone company|Pri --->TDM|Asterisk|TDM --->Pri|IP Office
I know that it can be done by using h323, but I need a card on the IPOffice my

supermicro with asterisk and tdm cards
Guys.
Anybody using supermicro mobos and chassis with TDM cards?
I would like to know which models are you using (mobos and chassis and also
CPUs) and how many TDM cards have you been able to put in without having IRQ
issues like in other cases.
Ive read supermicro servers play nice with asterisk but it is always good to
ask I guess.
Thx!

TDM cards and Asterisk
I have put a box together using 2 X100P and 2 TDM400 4port cards.
Using the simple setup that Martin posted a few days ago, I have
asterisk almost up and running.
/etc/zaptel.conf
fxsks=1-2
fxoks=3-10
loadzone=nz
defaultzone=nz
(I have added NZ tone information to zaptel and Asterisk - I'll submit a
patch soon).
/etc/asterisk/zapata.conf

context=incoming
signalling=fxs_ks

Eicon DIVA PCI ISDN cards (not server) work withasterisk!
Hello Marc,
Could you post the install details for the Diva PCI? I have a Diva Pro
PCI 3.0 and I am looking to get it working... I am running Debian
Testing. So far it appears there are a few things floating around but I
am not certain which direction to go. I know I need to load the firmware
first. I did manage to load the modules ok.
Thanks,
Greg

Asterisk + PRI Card -> Nortel BCM
Has anyone fed a Nortel BCM from Asterisk?
I'm interested in switching our company over, but don't want to
replace all the handsets in one fell swoop.
I imagine some of the PRI cards can "emulate" a switch?
I'd still like to pass CallerID into the Nortel, etc but all the
external traffic would be VOIP, not TDM.

TDM analog cards, volume, echo, fxotune, ztmonitor and HPEC
Hi, everyone:
I am developing a system using Asterisk, TDM-400 analog cards, analog
lines, and Polycom SIP phones for internal extensions.
Initially there was bad echo but after a series of efforts, I've managed
to reduce it to a negligible level (it only happens when both parties
speak simultaneously, and even there, only for a few hundred
milliseconds). From an echo standpoint, things are

TDM-400 and dialplan -- how to ring a SIP ex tension *before* answering the PSTN line?
the caller is out his money anyway when you call any phone and voicemail
kicks in, although i think on a payphone they give you a 2 or 3 second
window to hang up.
Suggest you implement i'm here / i'm away dialplan logic or set the do not
disturb button that way when someone calls and the guy is away it hits
voicemail right away and the caller can hear this and still have the 2 or 3

Does anyone test Asterisk 1.2.X + bristuff-0.3.X and TDM card? We can't
get it to work.

ISDN BRI-U card suggestion for use in USA
Hello,
I'm looking for an ISDN BRI-U interface for use in the US. I'm primarily
interested in using the BRI as a trunking interface into the PSTN with
Asterisk. Naturally, cheaper is better.
I currently use a Nortel Norstar system with BRI-U trunks, and really like
the digital PSTN interface. Would really like to replace the whole mess with
Asterisk but want to keep the ISDN trunks.

Asterisk behind Centrex
Hi,
I'm looking at setting up an Asterisk PBX in our office, which gets its
phone lines (digital signaling, analog voice) from the main campus,
which uses Centrex.
Does anyone know if this falls under analog or digital for hardware
buying? I was looking at getting a Digium TDM-series, but apparently our
lines aren't pots (due to the digital signaling).
Could someone enlighten me a bit?

Fw: Re: mISDN BRI Asterisk 1.4
Have you got termination set correctly?
I have a B410P working with 2 x NT and 2 x TE ports successfully.
I had to turn the 100ohm termination on on the NT ports (even though I
have them set as PTP in mISDN.conf).

Fax service (instead of tdm card)
FYI to the list....
I gave up (for now) trying to make spandsp work with the digium TDM
card. Instead, I signed up with www.trustfax.com at a cost of $9.95
per year plus $.10/page. Since we only deal with an estimated 120
pages per year, the total cost of about $22/year seemed like a very
reasonable alternative. (At least until we can find out why the TDM
card does not function properly with

wctdm and two tdm cards
Greetings,
I have a server I'm working on here with two tdm cards in it.
4 FXS and 4FX0. Both cards work fine on their own. The problem
lies with using both in the system at once. I have verified the
IRQ's are fine. I have tried switching the slots the cards reside in, no
luck though. I am using ACPI but not APM. I am using gentoo latest, with
vanilla 2.6(.10) kernel and udev. CVS as of

Modem Connection from TDM card to TE4xxP card
I just needed to test a dialup modem connection (don't ask) and I had a

problems with TDM400P
Hi,
We have two of these 4 port FXO cards.
However, we are having some problems with incoming/outgoing calls.
The latest version of Asterisk/zaptel from CVS is being used. Voicemail,
internal SIP <-> SIP calls between Pingtel xpressa hard phones work
terrific, echotest is fine, and so on.
The zaptel and wcfxs modules load fine, and show all 8 FXO interfaces in

Anyone have success with BRI in Italy?
I have a customer that wants to run Asterisk in their Italy office.
They have 3 BRI connections and 2 analog (POTS) lines.
I am looking to see if there are any success stories out there with a
similar configuration. Right now I plan on using a Digium TDM02B for
the analog lines, but I don't really know what to use for the BRI's.
Can anyone recommend a BRI card that supports Asterisk
