Applet?
Hello people. I would like to know if someone knows about any applet to include in a web page to start calls. What I am looking for is something that doesn't allow users to change numbers, or any other option, so I can include it in my web page and force them to call to me and no one else. I have tried JIAXClient, but it allows people to call anywhere, and what I want is just a configurable

Asterisk and Shoretel integration
Hello everybody. I have a problem with an integration between an Asterisk (1.4.24.1) on FreeBSD 7.0 and a Shoretel 7.5 server. To make a very long story short, when someone behind asterisk call an extension behing shoretel everything work as expected. When someone behing the shoretel server call someone behind asterisk the first 10 seconds of the call seems ok but then the line is dropped

SIP/ShoreTel REFER support
Hello All, Here's the problem, we have happily set up several Asterisk servers to offer commercial service in the UK, our wholesale SIP termination partner (Magrathea - use SER/CiscoGW to provide us the service on a public IP address) - till now we have used Asterisk to connect clients on private IP's with Asterisk doing the required conversion for SIP/IAX between public and private

Can Asterisk and new ShoreTel 6 talk to each other?
I've been anxiously awaiting ShoreTel version 6 because of it expanded use of SIP. My plan was to upgrade out ShoreTel server at our main office to version 6, and use Asterisk in our small remote offices, and have them all be able to directly dial each other's extension. (i.e. CEO in main office can dial ext 401 and get directly to secretary at small remote office, and vice-versa)

Softphone that supports central provisioning?
Has anyone found a softphone that supports pulling it's configuration from a central server via TFTP/FTP/HTTP, much like hard desk phones use? I'm looking for something for a call center that I can provision from a central location by generating config files. If the phone has "soft keys" (yes, I know they're all soft - but you know what I mean; programmable buttons whose

Asterisk x legacy pabx
Hi all,as good? It would like to know if already they had had success, in the integration of the functions of asterisk, with one pabx legacy (Avaya)for that pabx avaya, could use the voicemail of asterisk. For sample, user of pabx avaya, it would have its calls directed for not attendance and busy, for asterisk and asterisk, it would send the same one for the voicemail. Best Regards Josu?

Config Files
Im having a trouble understanding the config files setup even with some documentation ive read such as the handbook, maybe im just illiterate. Anyway do you think some one can point me to some examples of real config files. Such as IAX, Extensions, and Sip. I just cant grasp the concept for some reason. If someone would like to help me out, maybe even explain one on one? Thanks a lot

Can Asterisk & Shoretel systems talk to each other?
We have a Shortel system at out main site. We're putting Asterisk servers at several smaller remote sites. I know I'll be able to get the Asterisk servers to talk to each other via IAX, but can they talk to the Shoretel server? Basically, I'd like to be able to, from the main site with Shoretel, dial an extension, and reach that phone at a remote site, and vice-versa. Thank

Asterisk in support enviroment, some CTI maybe & RT integration?
Hi, Just wondering about using Asterisk for hosting a support line with a few distributed operators taking calls. My idea was for the calling party to be prompted for their support number (maybe a unique 4 digit number) this would then get looked up in a database and then place a pop up on the operators screen with details of the caller. I'm guessing that sort of thing is being done a lot,

Semi-OT: Use T.38 ATAs to Extend fax lines
Greetings. I have a scenario I would like some advice on. I have a 100,000 square foot building that we will be moving some work crews into. It has offices on each end of the building and a fiber line between them. I currently have an asterisk 1.2 system in place and about 30 phones. My problem is they want a few fax machines out in the warehouse area where I currently have no wiring for

ShoreTel 210 MGCP phone drops calls with MGCP RSIP
I've got a ShoreTel 210 MGCP phone drops calls. My packet capture indicates that the phone may be trying to renew its registration with *, but reports Restart Method of Disconnected (frame 2), then * seems to take that as a sign that it has lost the connection and closes things down. The phone, meanwhile, seems to think it can continue the conversation until a few ICMP "port

Open Source VoIP client (on a webpage)
I need to decide on the best way to add a voip SIP or IAX client to a website. I'm thinking that I'd like it to be inline, like an aplet, on the page. I've got some asterisk servers running to connect up to, so the real challenge is finding an easily integrated open source client. Any suggestions from those who know? Jason

Asterisk with ShoreTel 210 (MGCP)
Okay, so I'm a noob. Asterisk looks very promising, so I say "thanks" and "good job" to all who contribute. My * test box is up and running with soft phones using IAX and SIP, so now I'm on to testing hard phones. I borrowed a couple ShoreTel 210 phones from somebody who had them on hand but they only support MGCP. I see that there's an mgcp.conf in
