Festival Problems
Hello, Hopefully I'm posting to the correct list, but if not, please shun me ;). I'm running Asterisk 1.4, with Festival 1.4.1. I've got a test extension setup, Festival configured and for some reason, when I dial that extension I get this: [Jan 10 17:16:05] WARNING[9082]: app_festival.c:511 festival_exec: Festival returned ER See the full debug below: [Jan 10 17:16:05]

Asterisk behind nat with hole, hardcoding solution
Hi, A brief 6-step guide on how to hardcode a change in the Asterisk source that will allow it to work from behind a nat device. I know it?s messy, but it may prove useful to some people. 1. First punch a whole in your nat device. I just forwarded the port 5060 (for sip) and all ports between 10000 to 10020 (for rtp) to my asterisk gateway. 2. Now make sure your /etc/asterisk/rtp.conf correctly

Possible bug in chan_sip:add_sdp
Am I missing something here? I see if (needvideo) { /* only if video response is appropriate */ add_line(resp, m_video->str); add_line(resp, a_video->str); add_line(resp, hold); /* Repeat hold for the video stream */ } else if (p->offered_media[SDP_VIDEO].offered) { snprintf(dummy_answer,

SIP interface status
I've discovered that the status of a SIP device doesn't get passed as in-use when on an outbound call. Viewing the debug log the status is always passed as 'not in use' when on the outbound call. The sip_devicestate function doesn't appear to check the user object at all. The devices are configured as friends in sip.conf. Being both a peer and a user, the device is

Asterisk core dumping on SendFax with FFA
Hi All, I seem to have stumbled on a bit of a problem. When trying to send a fax with Fax For Asterisk on 1.6.2.x (have tried 1.6.2.5, 1.6.2.7 and the current svn version, with FFA 1.2 I get a core dump each time. Here is an extract form the console: [May 12 22:47:09] DEBUG[22584]: app_queue.c:1084 handle_statechange: Device 'SIP/vltb-sbc01' changed to state '1' (Not in use)

No NTLM with PAM after upgrade
After updating From Dovecot 1.07 (included with CentOS 5) to 2.11, NTLM authentication will not work. Attempts to authenticate against Samba version 4.0.4-GIT-20cb7de also fail with 'auth: Info: winbind(?,192.168.2.100): user not authenticated: NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL', despite the fact that the same user can sign on to the Samba domain and access files. Asterisk 1.6 Questions
I have a couple of questions about asterisk 1.6: Can you change codecs mid-call upon re-invite? Can you handle the SDP offer-answer in the 200-ACK instead of the usual INVITE-200? Thanks in advance for any insight. Gary -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Describing a "replaces" relationship within the same model
Hi! I would like to describe the relationships between two objects of a model, where one of the objects replaces the other. I want to be able to tell if one object has been replaced and, if so, by what object; and vice versa what object an object replaces, if any. My idea was the following: create_table :events do |t| t.column :replacement_id, :integer t.column :description, :text,

--partial replaces destination file on interrupted transfer
I had a case where I was using the --partial option (client is running rsync-pre5, server daemon is rsync-pre8). The transfer was interrupted and the partially transferred file replaced the destination file on the server. My understanding is that the partially transferred file would be kept but it would not replace the destination file...that is, both files would be kept so that rsync could pick

1.6.2 - Pickup and SIP Replaces header
Hello, I'm using Thomson/Technicolor ST2030S hardphones with Asterisk 1.6. Changing from 1.6.1.18 to 1.6.2.6, I can see a change in Pickup's behaviour and I'm a bit confused about it. With 1.6.2.6, when extension 7791 is calling extension 7792, I can see INVITE messages coming in and out Asterisk. I can also see a NOTIFY message advertising this call to subscriber 7793, for instance.

On the case `an identical item replaces the dots with spaces' for `--itemize-changes'.
Hi all, The `--itemize-changes' has the following notes within the manual: The other letters in the string above are the actual letters that will be output if the associated attribute for the item is being updated or a "." for no change. Three exceptions to this are: (1) a newly created item replaces each letter with a "+",
