Wine and Crossover
Hey, I am new here but I wanted to know what code differences are there in crossover wine and opensource wine. I know the crossover uses wineloader to load programs and in opensource wine it uses mwine. So there must be some code difference.
Any help is appreciated
Thnx

Hypothetical question - for the devs...
Hello everybody.
I know this is user forum - but I also know that developers "lurks" in here from time to time. So I would like to ask... what do you (developers) think is the biggest issue in wine development? Is it money? How much would wine development process speed up if Codewavers would start selling... let say, 10 times more licenses for Crossover then they sell now? Would it be a

help for hire? wine crashes when running http://www.verydoc
Hello,
I?m willing to pay $500 to the person that can help me. Of course, free help would be even better :-)
I want to get the software at http://www.verydoc.com/dwg-to-vector.htm to run under wine. This program converts dwg to swf (flash). It?s a command line program that I want to integrate it into a web app.
I can get the conversion tool to give me it?s help message by running ?wine

DarWine install
Hi all;
I'm trying to install darwine on my new MacPro (seems like the best
way to access an important DOS/CMD program from a bash script) and it
has not been straightforward. The install instructions for Darwine,
(9.12DP) are, in total:
"To install just drag the folder Darwine to your Applications folder. "
Um, not. This is clearly leaving something out. There is a

Aw: Re: Re: rsync not copy all information for font file
Ram,
? Look inside the .AppleDouble folder and tou will find the resource forks that hold the main part of the font data.
? Not a 'problem' with netatalk, but just how netatalk works so that it can represent apple files on non-apple filesystems.
? ?If you confirm the data all matches, this will prove rsync is working properly.

[LLVMdev] r114523 (convert the last 4 X86ISD...) breaks clang
Hello,
After commit r114523, I start to get crash when compiling with clang (Release+Asserts) for i386:
(I know I should fill a bug report instead of posting here, but I don't get much time right now).
Trying to compile the following simple code, clang asserts.

#include <math.h>

A tun/tap driver for an i386 OS X
Hello everyone!
I have a PowerMac running 10.6.8 and I'd love to get it connected to my
VPN. However, even by compiling tuntaposx by hand on the said MacPro, I
see that the kernel module is apparently built for x86_64 systems:
macintosh MacOS ?? pwd
/Library/Extensions/tun.kext/Contents/MacOS
macintosh MacOS ?? file tun
tun: Mach-O 64-bit kext bundle x86_64

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] [3.6 Release] RC3 has been tagged
I finally got around to testing this on a Bloomfield processor (Early
2009 MacPro 2x2.66 GHz dual-quad core) and the regressions from
http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=22589 are even more severe. For
10 runs of scimark2_1c built with "-O3 -march=native"...

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc-4.2 vs gcc 4.4
In order to see how llvm-gcc-4.2 svn performs in code generation
compared to the upcoming gcc 4.4, I ran the Polyhedron 2005
benchmarks on a MacPro with the -ffast-math -funroll-loops -msse3 -O3
optimization flags for both compilers. The results are summarized
below.

[LLVMdev] gfortran benchmarks
Since the fact that gfortran performance has improved
over the major releases, I decided to benchmark the current
releases on a MacPro with the Polyhedron 2005 benchmarks
using -ffast-math -funroll-loops -msse3 -O3. The results
are...

any limitations running on a Mac?
I have postfix/dovecot/mysql installed using MacPorts on a quad-core 2.8GHz MacPro running Snow Leopard (10.6.2). I moved the base mail directory to a pair of 10k RPM Raptors that are mirrored (/Volumes/email/) and everything seems to be working fine on an unused domain with very little traffic. I used imapsync to pull everything from the current mailserver to this test server to play with.
