Hi list.
Has anyone used any commercial or open source application to integrate
Asterisk into MS Outlook 2003 which can be used to place calls directly
to contacts from Outlook?
And if so how well does it work?
Thanks,
Richard

Digium Wildcard B410P
Hi list,
Is Digium Wildcard B410P compatible with Asterisk 1.2 / 1.4 (zaptel of
course) directly out of the box, or do I need things like bristuff?

Hi List.
I'm in need of something that will allow me to analyze cdr details
either via .csv or mysql that will give me call durations as well as
call costs.
This is so that we can see in what areas/staff are costing what per

Callback/ringback
Hi.
Has anyone had any success in implementing a callback or ringback
function in Asterisk?
I've had a look at the callback-voicemail example on voip-info.org
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+tips+callback
However it won't quite work for me.
I need it for local SIP users which most of them don't have voicemail.
If one SIP user calls another SIP user and the second user is

Echo cancel: chan_misdn vs bristuff? HFC card vs expensive card?
Hello everyone.
I've got a HFC ISDN card that I'm using with chan_misdn and it basically
behaves like crap. Echo is waaay worst then echo I get TDM400 card,
sound is "choppy" (there other side is allays complaining about sound
interruptions) and to top it all it detects fake DTMF's all the time.
Is this a chan_misdn problem or is it a card problem? I really need to

chan_misdn HFC-NT dialtone
How is it possible to get a dialtone using chan_misdn for a ISDN
phone connected to a hfc nt-mode card?
misdn.conf:
[intern]
ports=2
context=isdnIntern
immediate=yes
extensions.conf
[isdnIntern]
exten => s,1,DigitTimeout(5)
I don't want to use answer here because the phone does not show the
dialed digits in the display if the call has already been answered.

chan_capi or chan_mISDN vs bristuff
Hi list!
I'm currently using a HFC-S card for my ISDN BRI line with bristuff. The
instability is driving me crazy however.
I'm having continuous problems where inbound calls will not work after
some time of operation (the number then appears as not in use to the
caller) or also outbound calls do not work.
The solution is to unload the modules, stop asterisk, re-load the modules

Hi people.
I'm hoping someone has come across this problem with version 1.2.14
In my dial plan I call various SIP phones using the following little
macro:

chan_capi, chan_misdn and chan_modem
Could someone please comment on the current state of chan_capi,
chan_misdn and chan_modem channel drivers in terms of functionality and
stability. Specifically, which channel driver would be best for a
passive PCI HFC or W6692 ISDN card. The chan_misdn wiki claims that
chan_capi distinguishes between junghanns and non-junghans cards, and
that chan_misdn is better suited for general misdn

chan_misdn 0.0.3-rc5 - new release ! Please testit.
What are the advantages in using mISDN over other solutions?
If I knew why it was a good idea (like does it have better sound quality than alternatives?) then I would put the time in to test it, and also improve the Wiki.

chan_misdn and passive BRI cards
Has anyone got chan_misdn working with passive BRI cards yet? I've tried
both hfc (hfcpci.ko) and w6692 (w6692pci.ko) cards, but when I start
asterisk I get the following when chan_misdn is loaded:
[chan_misdn.so] => (Channel driver for mISDN Support (Bri/Pri))
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/misdn.conf': Found
== Registered channel type 'mISDN' (This driver enables the

How to make database build threaded?
Hi everybody,
I'm the author of a small C++11 program called XDGSearch. The source
code is hosted on Github, for a quick overview you can visit this link
https://github.com/frank67/XDGSearch/blob/master/README.md
I'm writing to the mailing list because I'd like to make the database
build process splitted in more thread. Is it possible? If you are a C++
programmer you can take a look at

mISDN, HFC, W6692, one-way-voice problem
Hi All,
I'm trying to use a HFC chip ISDN modem with mISDN and chan_misdn.
The card is configured to NT, PmP mode.
One Siemens ISDN phone connected to the modem.
When I call the ISDN phone is called everything is just fine, but when I
call from the ISDN phone I face some problems.
- There is no dial tone when I pick up the handset.
- I call a number but there is no ringtone and after I

asterisk + chan_mISDN = undefined symbol: ast_pickup_call
Hi all!
I'm getting an error when I try to start asterisk with chan_misdn.
I patched my kernel (2.6.12.4), and compiled the whole stuff (kernel,
mISDNuser, asterisk, chan_misdn). I got mISDN from
http://isdn.jolly.de/download/v3.0/
I'm using a CVS Snapshot of asterisk, which was checked out about 5
hours ago.
This is the error:

Help on chan_misdn and MSN's
Quick question:
Is there a way to distinguish between calling MSN's when using chan_misdn?
More info:
I've got my ISDN2 (EuroISDN) up and running here in Romania with 1 base
number plus 5 MSN's. Now I want to my * to do different things when
receiving a call on from different MSN's (like forwarding the call to my FAX
machine or forwarding the call to my mobile).
