Linksys SPA-9xx Audio Issues
Anyone else have problems with phones like SPA-922, SPA-921, etc? Inbound audio is perfect but the remote end reports audio quality issues on the audio the handset is sending out. It's not the network.... I've tried asterisk 1.2, 1.4. I've used ulaw, G726, G793 & G729. Ulaw seems to be the least problematic but its still an issue. Doesn't matter if we send the calls to the PSTN

Feedback on Linksys SPA-921 and GrandStream GXP-2000
Hello I'm about to order a GrandStream GXP-2000 and a Linksys SPA-921 I'd like to have some user feedback about how those phones perform, and whether their LCD screen displays both the caller ID name and number (The GrandStream BT-100 only displays numbers, which isn't very helpful). Thank you.

Which IP phones have best voice quality, preferably under $150
Hi all, I have to buy some IP phones. Previously I have used Grandstream GXP-2000, Budgetone 101 and Linksys SPA-841. I always had problems with sound quality with all of them, and I was always of the opinion that it were the phones which were not good. In GXP-2000 deployment of about 50 phones, some work good, some have sound problems like words missing, clicking sounds when talking, and some

IAX Voice Quality Issues
I am running * 1.0.5 and have been having lots of problems with outgoing calls and their sound quality. I am using ULAW for the codec and sixtel for termination. Basically the problem is that portions of the call seem to be lost and replaced with silence. Sometimes I can't hear the person talking othertimes they can't hear me. This situation comes and goes throughout the call. Bandwidth

SPA 3102 unable to detect hangup
Hi, I have a Linksys SPA 3102 using as ATA. The call routing is : Phone -> PSTN -> SPA 3102 -> SIP Proxy -> Asterisk The problem I am having is that when the phone hangs up, SPA 3102 can't detect it and relay the CANCEL message. Is this problem with my SPA 3102 config or it just works like that by default? Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Mark -------------- next

Linksys SPA devices and CID
Hi list, After successfully configuring Linksys SPA3000 and SPA3102 devices as Asterisk PSTN gateways, the only thing I can't get working is the PSTN Caller ID. The analog and SIP phones I've used can both display CIDs for internal calls, while the analog model also displays CIDs correctly when attached directly to the PSTN line. However, when PSTN calls come in via the SPA

SPA-3000 Bug? Dropped calls while registering.
Hello All! I am in the process of assembling an asterisk-based phone system for my office - using SPA-3000s to connect the network to the PSTN. I am wondering if anybody else can get (or has already seen) the same behaviour out of their 3000. The short version: Send multiple Calls to the SPA's FXO port at the same time it is re-registering with Asterisk. SPA HTTP Configuration:

Linksys/Sipura SPA-3201 FXO/FSA with Asterisk
All, I am looking at a little support on this, as I haven't found it on google yet. I have had this work on Callweaver, but am moving to Asterisk for a variety of reasons. My dial plans, and everything else transferred perfectly, though I am not sure they are 'correct' for Asterisk 1.6.1, with simple things like SIP users outlined in the sip.conf file, not in the users file,

does anyone get a hold of the SPA-941 Provisioning Guide? i tried call Sipura's tech support, seems like none of them heard of the term "remote provisioning". they kept refering me to their web site which i've check thoroughly, and could not find any documentations on the SPA-941. finally they gave me a phone number to call, which appears to be a fax machine. that's when i

SPA-941 auto-answer capability
Hi. I am thinking about building an asterisk system for a small business and want to be able to page through the phones. It seems like to do this asterisk needs auto-answer support in the phone. I know the SPA-841's support this, as do Cisco phones, but I have been unable to determine if the new Cisco/Linksys SPA-941's do. Does anyone here have experience with trying to use auto-answer

Sipura SPA-2000
Hello, I am very new to asterisk and voip in general and so far have managed to get the FXO card and a few sip phones working fine. My question is where does the Sipura SPA 2000 come in the picture? Can it be used as an extension (i.e FXS) ? Or is it to be used as a line (i.e FXO)? Or it can be used as both? My understanding is that its just like another ATA186. Is that true? I guess what I

The 941 comes with 4 line appearence buttons which can individualy be configured to point at any extension. The phone is capable of 2 extensions out of the box with the option to add 2 more for a license fee. The 941 manual states that, "The Call Waiting function is activated when a

Problem with Asterisk and SPA-3000
Hello everybody, I have a very strange issue with a Linksys SPA-3000 (1 fxo + 1 fxs) used as PSTN gateway to asterisk in a small office. Everything works just fine, except that sometimes, and it seems that only for long incoming calls, the IVR menu appears on the middle of the call(like a three way call, call goes on with prompts playing over the parties). Dialing an extension at the prompt at

SPA-3000 caller ID and KPN
Hi list, Hopefully, some of our Dutch members can help with this one. I'm also based in the Netherlands and am using a Sipura (Linksys) SPA-3000 (firmware v3.1.10(GWd)) as a PSTN to VoIP gateway for my Asterisk test system. It works fine, except that the Called ID (CID) is not working. I'm aware that KPN (our local telco) requires a separate subscription to activate CID on POTS

Troubleshooting one-way voice... how to peek into SIP RTP?
I've got the following situation. I'm running Asterisk 1.4.18 on a firewall/gateway machine, with some SPA-942 (f/w 5.1.15(a)) phones behind it. I'm peering SIP with a Coppercom switch sitting behind an SBC. On outbound calls, I get 2-way voice, no worries. On inbound calls, I get one-way voice (I can hear the caller but they can't hear me). I've looked at tcpdumps of

Outbound dialing
Hello all. I am just getting back into Asterisk and I am setting up my Linksys SPA3102. I have incoming calls working fine, as is the phone plugged into the unit. My problem is I cannot get the SPA3102 to dial a phone number automatically. I can call the extention of the PSTN and I get a second dialtone, and I can then manually dial. I'd like to be able to have Asterisk pass the
