No CDR from Outbound Call
I have a little call recording script that I am running and it works fine, but I have one problem. I get CDR when a user calls into the extension, but I do not get CDR for the call that it makes outbound on # 17. Any idea why? Here is the extensions info: [default] exten => 2211,1,Answer exten => 2211,2,Wait(1) exten => 2211,3,Playback(/etc/asterisk/recording/getshop) exten =>

Folder permissions not working
I seem to be having a bit of a brain fade with regard to permissions in samba. I have a share with several folders owned by different groups: drwxrws--- 13 root accounts 4.0K Jun 7 12:12 Accounts drwxrws--- 16 ian accounts 4.0K Jun 7 11:24 Administration drwxrws--- 14 accounts users 4.0K Apr 22 12:05 Downloads drwxrwsr-x 7 ian users 4.0K Mar 22 13:51

samba 3.0.23a + ldap as PDC - should work, but why?
I've got an issue with roaming profiles with samba 3.0.23a and an LDAP backend. I can use the ldap to authenticate an NT and a local user, and I know alot about PAM, NSS, and general linux. BUT, I can't get ANY roaming profiles to work. Other than my domain name changed for security purposes, the following is my smb.conf file. (I first used SWAT, then did more customization)

Problems Syncing Home Directories
Hello All, I administrate public Internet computers for a number of libraries. I have a user ''public'' and I am trying to keep all the home''s for this user the same across multiple computers. When I try to do this with puppet, I get errors for some directories. It only happens on hidden directories, but I''m not sure if it is all of them, or just some of them.

linux server not caching users
I've got a CentOS 5 server joined to a Windows 2003 Domain. The Linux machine joined the Windows domain successfully and imported users, created their home directories and migrated their passwords. When looking at the current home directory It lists permissions and ownership properly for a few minutes drwxr-xr-x 2 jdoe domain users 4.0K Jun 14 2007 jdoe drwxr-xr-x 2 jqpublic domain

Output of --list-only not as I expected for symlinks
The output of --list-only isn't as I expected as regards symlinks. Here are my test files: $ ls ./src -rw------- 1 michael michael 0 2018-09-05 09:18:15 file lrwxrwxrwx 1 michael michael 4 2018-09-05 09:18:28 near_symlink -> file lrwxrwxrwx 1 michael michael 23 2018-09-05 09:19:05 far_symlink -> /home/michael/Documents The "destination" dir is empty: $ ls ./dest

"Input/output error" on mkdir for PPC64 based client
I recently compiled the 3.10-5 client from source on a few PPC64 systems running RHEL 7.3. They are mounting a Gluster volume which is hosted on more traditional x86 servers. Everything seems to be working properly except for creating new directories from the PPC64 clients. The mkdir command gives a "Input/output error" and for the first few minutes the new directory is

Output of --list-only not as I expected for symlinks
Thank you. But I'm afraid I don't understand. The man entry reads: "--list-only This option will cause the source files to be listed instead of transferred. This option is inferred if there is a single source arg and no destination specified..." It doesn't say anything about "list remote files". In fact I am not sure why it would even contact the remote

setting up W7 profiles
Gentlemen, First, let me point out that sometimes (and sometimes not) the mailing list will strip out some backslash marks in cut and paste. So, if there is a backslash missing . . . well, ignore that missing mark. Louis, When your script runs it creates the following default permissions: root at mbr01:~# ls -alh /home/samba/TEST/profiles total 8.0K drwxr-xr-t 2 root root 4.0K Feb 21 18:39

Automounter issue
Anyone seen this before? I have a number of file systems nfs mounted onto clients running various versions of CentOS (and Upstream), although mostly they are v5.x flavors. =20 The server is a Network Appliance filer. When the build process for this team runs, it sometimes dies because it can't find files in the automounter tree; if the engineer checks, he sometimes sees a problem, and

setting up W7 profiles
I am setting up W7 profiles following the "Samba & Windows Profiles" on the Sambawiki. If it matters, I have two functional DC's and one member server. When I run '# chmod 1770 /srv/samba/profiles' (on the member server) the permissions changed to: root at mbr01:~# ls -alh /srv/samba/profiles total 12K drwxrwx--T+ 2 root root 4.0K Mar 1 10:21 . drwxr-xr-t 5 root

Output of --list-only not as I expected for symlinks
My apologies. I'm evidently not communicating very well. I am not asking for a list of what "needs to be transferred", I am looking for a list of those things that are "candidates to transfer". In other words, the source items minus exclusions/filters or anything else that will be ignored (by rsync). Is there any option for rsync that offers such a list? > find

"Input/output error" on mkdir for PPC64 based client
Looks like it is an issue with architecture compatibility in RPC layer (ie, with XDRs and how it is used). Just glance the logs of the client process where you saw the errors, which could give some hints. If you don't understand the logs, share them, so we will try to look into it. -Amar On Wed, Sep 20, 2017 at 2:40 AM, Walter Deignan <WDeignan at uline.com> wrote: > I recently
