musiconhold in sip.conf
I have a PBX set up so that all the channels have "musiconhold=<classname>".
We use all SIP phones and SIP to the VoIP provider. All channels have that
setting.
I directly call SetMusicOnHold(<classname>) for all incoming calls, but
outgoing calls should be set by the "musiconhold=" configuration parameter.
However, I still have circumstances that will play the

MusicOnHold Native Mode, Please Clarify
Hi Guys,
I've attempted to get this moh-native thing to work with no success. I've
reviewed wiki, mantis and e-mail postings and I'm confused.
The latest I've read is native moh should be in asterisk-addons in
format_mp3, but what version will it work with? I've tried asterisk 1.0.1,
1.0.5, addons 1.0.1, 1.0.4 and also -r stable CVS. I followed the wiki
example with

No Music: Queue Hold and MusicOnHold
Hello,
We are working on a new Asterisk installation and have run into some problems related to playing MusicOnHold for a caller when they have been placed on hold by an agent, that took the call from a queue.
A. When pressing the HOLD button on SNOM 190 and Grandstream BudgeTone SIP phones, MusicOnHold works fine when making inbound or outbound direct calls by extension. Music starts to play

MoH via AGI broken after upgrade.
I recently upgraded Asterisk from 1.8.x to 13.x and am now finding that music on hold isn't working like it used to.
It seems that even though the correct MoH class is being set, the system still plays the "default" music.
All of my call handling is done with an AGI script. When a call is made, the AGI script sets the MoH class before dialing.
The log indicates that the correct

musiconhold restarts for every extension
Hello!
I've upgraded from 1.2.9 to 1.2.14 recently but experience an
unexpected behaviour with musiconhold: While in 1.2.9 musiconhold was
playing continuous on sequential extensions after a
timeout, it is restarted for every extension in 1.2.14:

Questions on musiconhold.conf custom mode
Hello,
I need to play some musiconhold content starting at a random duration
from the start.
Thanks to mode=custom option and either madplay or mpg123 programs, I
could successfully get what I was after on a Debian Wheezy system.
Now I realized sox version on my target system (Debian Squeeze) cannot
convert to MP3 format.
So I'm looking after workarounds.

Turn off MusicOnHold for individual User
Hi All,
I might of got my wires crossed here, but I'm looking for a way to
disable musiconhold for individual users.
I had thought that putting the sip.conf entry to:
[690]
type=friend
context=from-sip
secret=*****
qualify=yes
host=dynamic
canreinvite=no
nat=yes
mailbox=2090
callerid=2090
musiconhold=silent
and then putting an entry in musiconhold.conf like:

Streaming Music On Hold - Reality Check
Thanks to this thread, we got it working too... but have a question...
Once this is setup... does it stream forever, or does the stream only
start when someone goes on hold/into a queue/etc?
If it streams forever, at 24k... it looks like over 7GB/month in
bandwidth... so we're not going to want to do that if a) it streams
constantly and b) my math is correct.
Thanks,
Doug

I think there is currently a bug with MOH. For now, if you add a file to a moh folder, 'touch musiconhold.conf' and then reload moh.

MusicOnHold spawns everlasting mpg123 processes
Hullo :)
I'm using CVS-04/23/04-23 from the stable 1.0 branch on kernel 2.6 - since I
have no Digium h/w, I've just managed to get the zaprtc module to compile and run,
so I thought the best way to test it would be via MoH.
The MP3Player application works great ..

Music On Hold - not working for me...
Hi all,
I'm trying to make some simple MOH (Music On Hold) working. So far I've failed
miserably - so I turn here for help.
Basically I've been using the wiki and all the sample confs I could from there
and via google.
The queue system seems to work fine with my limited setup. Just 2 IAX2 clients
where I keep Client B busy (by making it listen to mp3 via ext. 777) but logged
