Best External PRI Gateway?
I'm currently looking to interconnect my Asterisk PBX system with the PSTN
via a digital PRI/T1.
I know a multitude of options exist for internal PCI cards
(Digium/Sangoma/Rhino), I was wondering if anyone has any experience or
recommendations of external PRI media gateways that support SIP.
So far I've found:

Grandstream GXW-4108 8 port FXO
Has anyone used either the 8 port or 4 port FXO device from
Grandstream? (GXW-4108 or 4104).
They seem to be the lowest cost multi port FXO devices that I can
find, so I'm getting ready to buy the 8 port version. I just want to
see if there are any opinions on the device before I commit to the
purchase.
If people have not used the Grandstream, are there any issues with

4 Port FXO interface
I am looking to build a small PBX for an office that has 3 incoming analog
lines and less than 10 extensions.
For the Asterisk server I am going to use a small form factor PC with no-PCI
slots so the FXO interface needs to be either FXO->SIP or USB. Can anyone
make suggestions?

Voicemail hangup by gateway?
Hi,
I have a spiffy new gateway which seems quite promising.
It's the Audiocodes MP114 FXS_FXO (2 of each).
I have got it configured and working reasonably well, but have a couple
of issues.
1) Asterisk 1.2.13 voicemail seems to be hung up on by the gateway
after 10 seconds. This isn't asterisk saying it's quiet for 10
seconds, it's the gateway deciding it's time to go

FXS to SIP gateway
Hello list !
I don't have the money to test out all the products and reading the
manuals is not always that enlightening...
Does someone here know a good gateway-product that lets analogue
telephones communicate with an Asterisk-server.
I have found the Grandstream GXW-400x to be able to add SIP-accounts to
analogue telephone devices that are connected to the FXS-ports. Moreover

AudioCodes Gateway and Asterisk
Hi List,
I am trying to call from my asterisk box (1.2.18) to and audiocodes MP114. I keep getting an error from asterisk of -- Got SIP response 415 "Unsupported Media Type" back from XXX.XXX.XX.XX. Both box's are set up to use G729. Anyone have a hint as to what it may be ?
Thanks.

Recommendation for FXO
Ok,
I am back from my thanksgiving holiday, and I find there was a big
snow storm here in Seattle. Apparently during the storm there where
multiple brown out/black outs.
I have struggled since day one to get a high quality PSTN gateway
configured with my very long loop and Mac based asterisk.
I originally tried the HT-488, which had multiple issues, and was
unacceptable. I then purchased

Question about callerid?
Hello again Asterisk people.
I am running Asterisk 1.42 on an old PowerPC ibook. I have had this
deployed for several years now, with pretty good results.
Recently I added a callerid service to my landline (qwest).
I am using the audiocodes MP114 2fxo/2fxs gateway, which is an
outstanding piece of hardware once it's configured (lol).
Anyhow, I can see that the gateway is passing

alternative FXO gateway to Mediatrix 1204?
I bought a couple of Mediatrix 1204's a few of months back. (Perceived
advantages were relatively low overall cost and size per port, and
it isn't nearly as vibration sensitive as a PC would be.)
Rich Adamson's review from Feb 1 is comprehensive, and the only thing I'd
like to add is this:
One "feature" of these units that absolutely infuriates me is its
behavior for

GXW 4108 asterisk configuration
Dear,
I'm having problems with the configuration of this gateway(GrandStream GXW

has a good configuration for this gateway?
Thanks in advance,

Still looking for small fxo sip gateway
I've been looking around for a small external sip fxo gateway, sending
emails to possible vendors, etc, and can not seem to come up with anything
that fits. Suggestions anyone? (No channel bank & T1 card suggestions,
please. I've also just completed an eval of the Mediatrix 1204 which
does not support the requirements.)

Native bridging analog phones trouble DAHDI channels.
I own a TDM2400 board, with three FXO modules and one FXS.
I'am having trouble with analog sip phones, from two different
equipment. (Grandstream GXW-4024 192.168.0.105, and Audiocodes MP202),
sometimes when I am calling someone, then I press flash, and then call
someone else, both calls stay connected after I hang up.

An FXO version of IAXy?
Hello--
In the interest of Symmetry, does anyone else in the world see any need
for a device like the IAXy (or the SIP ones from other manufacturers,
like the ATA186), but one that presents an FXO interface instead, so it
can be connected not to phones, but the PSTN?

FXO Gateways
Does anyone have any experience with the Audiocodes MP-108 FXO
gateway? I'm looking to get one for incoming PSTN lines.
In particular, does it pass caller ID information to Asterisk?
I currently have a Mediatrix 1204 but Caller ID does not work, even
though the specs say it does. All it sends are the names of the ports
set up internally on the gateway (ie. "pstnline1" etc) when

FXO Gateway recommendation
>From your experience, would you recommend purchasing 8 Sipura 3000 1
port FXO gateways or 1 Audiocodes 8 port FXO gateway?
The way I see it, the advantage of going to the Sipura solution is
that it is more scalable (ie. I would only need maybe 5 in the
beginning and then add one by one as the needs grow) and seems to be
cheaper: ~$800 for 8 Sipura's versus $1300 for 1 Audiocodes.

Adding 4 more POTS lines
Hello
I have a working * server with a TDM card and 4 FXO ports.
We have 4 lines now and need to add 2 more lines (and possibly two more
later).
I'm wondering the best upgrade path for this situation.
The simplest I can invision is adding another TDM400 card with
4 FXO ports, and use 2 now and the remaining 2 later.
Are there success stories with using 2 TDM cards?

experience with multi-port SIP/FXS gateways?
I'm proposing an asterisk configuration and considering the use of
multiport SIP/FXS gateways (instead of T1 cards and channel banks).
I'm looking for products similar in function to the Cisco ATA-186,
but with more ports.
I've seen the manufacturer's web pages for the Audiocodes MediaPack
(http://www.audiocodes.com/) and the Mediatrix (http://www.mediatrix.com/)
access devices.

AudioCodes MP-114 making calls via FXO
I was able to setup AudioCodes MP-114 to rote calls form FOX to Asterisk and make internal calls:
Routing Tables -> Tel to IP Routing:
*, *, 10.0.0.109 (my asterisk IP)
But I'm not sure how to setup AuioCodes to make calls out via FXO?
In extensions.conf

Whenever, I try to call out I get a busy signal.
