Without using Dundi or SER, any thoughts on the following anyone?
Has something similar been implemented anywhere so as to me not
having to horribly butcher code...

Plantronics and Snom RF feedback
Hey all, after hooking up some Plantronics to some Snom's (3 320's 1 360),
I noticed my client is having some form of feed back on the phone.
Because of Snom's "inner oddities" this is how I got it to work.
Plantronic --> RJ11 --> SnomHandset Port (on Snom Base)
Handset --> Plantronic jack (bottom base in the front)
If I placed Plantronic(RJ11) --> Snom's

Asternic Flash Panel
Has anyone gotten this configured to show all extensions vertically instead of filling up the window. If so would you mind sharing your configuration
Yes I have tried searching terms like +asternic +op_panel +vertical and a slew of others. Unsucessful though.

Dropped calls in Asterisk - A general question
Hey all, I have a question for those administrating/building out
systems with over 30 users on them. How often do you experience
the dropped call phenomena. Would you care to share your
experiences including what versions of * you were using, what
kind of connectivity was present (T1, Fractional T, Intergrated T,
DSL, Cable). Echo? Solutions? (e.g. we bought an X_Brand Echo
Canceller).

snom mass deployment (probably off topic)
Hello
Although not stictly a asterisk issue, any help would be apreciated.
Firstly a few notes on the snom 360, which I have had on a test bed
for the last week. Its a great phone, with a good user interface,
both physically and its web based one.
At its lastest firmware it does have a few quirks, with regards to the
way it handles usernames and passwords on the physical interface.
These have

Snom360 Sidecar & Asterisk
We are looking to replace our existing Legacy PBX with Asterisk. Our
receptionist currently has a light display for a certain extension when
someone is on a call. When she needs to transfer she simply hits that
button.
Is it possible to use a snom360 + Sidecar to monitor 30 extensions and make
transfers using the buttons? Does the Cisco 7960 expansion module work with
asterisk?
Thanks.

Asterisk on Solars?
Has anyone gotten Asterisk to compile on Solaris 10? I have tried both 1.2and
1.4 and I get errors about editline. Actually it seems that 1.4 goes through
more of the process, but thats not good enough....

Network\Snom phone oddity
I have a client that has 5 Snom 320s. 4 work great, one does not. I upgrade the firmware to the latest (6.5.2) and the problem goes away, but then comes back a couple days later.
There is a slight packet loss on the phone (about 1%), though there is no packet loss on any of the other phones.
I determine the packet loss by the Linux command "ping -f -c 10000 192.168.2.10".

Snom 360 problems
Anyone have a Snom they're happy with? How did you manage that? :)
I have a system of:
Asterisk 1.2.3
2 Wildcard TDM400P Rev I and E/F
1 Snom 360 + sidecar
~15 Sipura/Linsys SPA-841
~15 Grandstream 101
Everything (currently) is on the same network, not a router to be seen
between any two. Also everything, except the snom, is working sweetly.
The main problem is ECHO.. awful echo and

Answering the nTh call ...
Curious to know if anyone's created something similar to the following,
if so and you'd care to share an AGI or dialplan, much appreciated.
I will be eventually write a script to answer the nTH call. (if I can't
find it (why reinvent wheels).
Looking to do some testing sending anywhere between 50-200 calls to a
machine. I'd like a Snom/Polycom/whatever to pick up after the nTh

Verizon Vonage 101
I've dug down as far as I could on www.uspto.gov for
anything remotely close to what is going on with
Verizon and all searches end with only two
possibilities in regards to what is going on.
So unless the patent was issued to someone else and
Verizon bought it, these are the only two possible
patents this case could be based on...

Toll fraud detection/password script
So I was bored yesterday and tried solving a few
problems with one stone:
1) Notify me of potential brute forcers (multiple attempts
to register multiple numbers from one address)
2) Notify me of (l)users who are having password issues
So I whipped up a simple script to run in cron and
notify me that UserX from X_IP_Space had X amout of
password issues. I'm currently running this from
cron
