Newbie here. Tips on setting up 100 phones w anted.
>It will be about 100 phones at about 20 locations all within >about 4 miles of each other. Perhaps a more pressing question might be how you are going to backhaul Ethernet in a 4-mile radius. You can't run a Cat 5 cable more than 100 metres reliably, and using Ethernet repeaters every hundred metres or so isn't practical. You will need a fiber backbone or something like that. What

Broken UDP streams
Hi All, I'm working from home today (DSL -> Internet -> 2MB leased line -> A*K server behind NAT), and trying to pickup voicemail using Zoiper.. I can access the VM system, I hear all the prompts, and I can even hear part of the message playback. But then I get silence on the call (call stays up), and I get: Parsing

VoIP Termination in Japan
Anyone have any experience with a Japanese local VoIP termination supplier? I've emailed a few companies looking to setup some PSTN to SIP and SIP to PSTN termination, but no luck so far. [RFC] LLVM Coroutines
Hi Sanjoy: >> Now in the above CFG %val can be folded to 10, but in reality you need >> a PHI of 10 and 20 Quick answer: folding %val to 10 is OK, but, I would prefer it to be 'undef' or even catch it in the verifier as it is a programmer/frontend error. Details are in the second half of my reply. I would like to start with the thought experiment you suggested, as it might

IAX2 goes "one way audio" when lag gets bad
Hi, I have a customer who experiences, once in a while, one-way audio... That is... they can hear the person they called, but the person can not hear them. The customer is connected via IAX2 to our softswitch. On the customer's end I have the following config in iax.conf: [general] bindport = 4569 ; Port to bind to (IAX is 4569) bindaddr = 0.0.0.0 ; Address to bind to (all

IAX2 tolerance on packet losses
Hello, I'm experiencing some problems with running IAX2 protocol on quite reliable link with G729A codec. My customer has 2mb FR link to the Internet used in about 20%. Ping statistics: 50 packets transmitted, 49 received, 2% packet loss, time 49496ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 9.308/13.126/33.307/4.851 ms Everything would be great, but the quality isn't good enough. I have 2mb/512kb DSL

[RFC] LLVM Coroutines
Hi Sanjoy, >> I'm not familiar with fiber-type APIs, but I assume fiber_fork is like >> setjmp, in that it can "return twice"? Yes, user-mode stack switching API are somewhat similar to setjmp. Here are links to a doc page and implementation, just in case you are curious: http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_59_0/libs/context/doc/html/context/context.html

[RFC] LLVM Coroutines
I think I got it. Original model (with coro.fork and two-way coro.suspend) will work with a tiny tweak. In the original model, I was replacing coro.suspend with br %return in original function. The problem was coming from potential phi-nodes introduces into return block during optimizations. Let's make sure that there is only entry into the return block. In the original model, ReturnBB had

pbx -> fiber -> network media converter -> wifi -> network media converter -> fiber -> pbx ???
Please forgive the (almost?) OT post. (and the fact that I need a clue-bat) We've got a situation at one of our sites where a construction crew is likely to dig up our conduit which houses some data fiber and one pair of fiber used to tie a Definity 3gsi at a small office building to the rest of the phone system (school district). We're using a pair of Aeronets to the data network stays

Possibility for networkless installation (for long distance shared storage)
As we have fiber channel, and we have fiber connections, sometimes direct p-to-p, where we could run it into our fiber channel switch, and share a disk array over hundreds of feet, to hundreds of miles, but where servers wouldn't be able to talk via fast enough network connection, does (or will) ocfs2 support a mode where there is no network connection needed, and all voting, and cluster

How to handle "+" prefix
Hi, How can I have A*k convert a call from +441793xxxxxx to Dial 00441793xxxxxx instead? With the "_+." Below I can "catch" the call, but EXTEN doesn't get set as expected.. and then I need to figure out how to pass the call onto the outgoing-pstn context. Not sure if a Goto would work here... We have a server rack with 12 xserves ranging from dual G5's to dual quand-core xeon lastest generation, 3 xserve-raid and one activeraid 16 TB disk enclosure. We also use xSan to access a shared file system among the servers. Services are run from this shared filesystem, spreaded
