Corosync init-script broken on CentOS6
Hello all,
I am trying to create a corosync/pacemaker cluster using CentOS 6.0.
However, I'm having a great deal of difficulty doing so.
Corosync has a valid configuration file and an authkey has been generated.
When I run /etc/init.d/corosync I see that only corosync is started.
>From experience working with corosync/pacemaker before, I know that
this is not enough to have a functioning

This is completely inexplicable to me.
I has been using Wine for some time, but then I rebooted into Windows
for approximately 2 weeks.
At this point I decided to give Fedora another try.
However, Wine is being completely retarded!
Essentially, any executable that I run (ones that DEFINITLEY worked
before) only shows part of the GUI, or none of it. Even winecfg is
being retarded. I get windows

NASCAR 2003 and sound issues
I've submitted a bug on this issue, but I'm hoping to find a
workaround that may help resolve the bug or get me to where I want to
be - racing this game.

Installed on Ubuntu - Edgy Eft (2.6.17-10-generic)
I did not compile this, installed as a package via Ubuntu's App

Steam Apps freezing
I'm using wine to run Steam based games like Counterstrike and Day of
Defeat. This generally works well but from time to time the games radomly
freeze(about every hour or so).
To get further information I made an error.log(see below) and googled the
error. I found quite some information but no way to solve the problem.
Any ideas, assumptions...?

Can't get dropbook to work on FC6 wine
I recently upgraded to FC6, well, I actually did a clean reinstall.
Anyway I did a yum install wine as root and it went through with no errors.
I tried to run dropbook and it draws the window and some times the
controls but it doesn't respond to mouse clicks except for the close
button to which I get the not responding dialog with the force quit option
which I choose.
dropbook did run under

Simplest way to fully Disable NUT without uninstalling
I would like to keep NUT installed but disable it completely at times.
I tried both 'disabling' and 'masking' all the following 'systemctl services

nut-monitor
nut-client
ups-monitor
nut-driver-enumerator
as follows:
systemctl disable nut-server nut-monitor nut-client ups-monitor nut-driver-enumerator

access to files continues after removing user from group
Hello all,
I've noticed that removing a user from a group in /etc/group does not
immediately prevent the user from accessing files / directories which the
group
still has access to.
For example, say user 'cwseyst2' only has access to access to 'plc' if it
is in group 'plc-staff'.
# getfacl plc
# file: plc
# owner: smbadmin
# group: smbadmin
user::rwx

limit samba page cache in linux
Hi,
I am using linux kernel 3.10.12 (mips) on my embedded router box with samba
server version: 3.0.24
Every time i transfer files from a hard disk connected to router to my
windows PC, all my router RAM is eaten up in form of page cache ( though it
can be reclaimed by kernel in case of need ).
The problem is i get lot of page allocation failures from some kernel
modules since page reclaim isnt

Winbind group membership not updating
Hej,
There are no Linux users (above 1000 that is), and there never will be.
net cache flush does absolutely nothing.
I've already suspected that the version might be at fault and checked
4.7.0 with the same result.
I suspect the problem is not a bug per se, but an architectural problem
with how sessions are constructed. As far as I can tell, group
membership is resolved once at the

ALSA driver problems
I want to try ALSA driver since the sound quality of

common configurations

Speakeasy VOIP + Asterisk?
Has anyone tried getting Speakeasy VOIP to work with Asterisk?
I just got Speakeasy DSL and am thinking of trying out their VOIP [1] with
the hope that the quality/stability will be better than broadvoice.
I searched in the usual places (voip-info.org, the asterisk users mailing
list archives [2], dslreports.com) and couldn't find anything. Any other
places I should look?
Thanks,
Simon

https with certificates
I poked around the web a little and didn''t run across how to use https
when it asks for certificate validation.
I''m trying to connect to devices that don''t have valid certificates,
and in this case, I don''t care if they are or not.
So when I use my browser to ge to the site, firefox asks me to allow
the certificate, then one other question, then I get the

[PATCH] rework master-to-worker signaling to use a pipe
Signaling using normal kill(2) is preserved, but the master now
prefers to signal workers using a pipe rather than kill(2).
Non-graceful signals (:TERM/:KILL) are still sent using kill(2),
as they ask for immediate shutdown.
This change is necessary to avoid triggering the ubf (unblocking
function) for rb_thread_call_without_gvl (and similar) functions
extensions. Most notably, this fixes

Display of Photomatix GUI Has No Buttons, Checkmarks

Hello,
I was using SkyPipeII.exe on Wine 1.3.24 successfully. I have upgraded to Wine 1.3.29, as part of Fedora 16 (64b) upgrade.
Now the program does not launch anymore. I tries re-install and clean ~/.wine for fresh install. No success.
I have:

Wine + serial port basically hangs system
I'm trying to use Wine to run a program called heavy weather - its a
windows only program that interfaces with a weather station that I
have through a serial port.
I was able to get the program up and running with wine. Then, I
couldn't get it to connect at all to the weather station.
After much too long, I finally realized that the problem was that my
permissions on /dev/ttyS0 were too

Native dlls for applications
Hello,
I am trying to install an application on Wine.
It needs an ole function which has not been implemented as of now.
I downloaded ole32.dll, I copied it @ windows/system32 and I changed to library to load native ole32 first.
However, Wine says fixme:ole:.... Why Wine still looks for the builtin function. The native function shouldn't say fixme....
Also, How can I check the status of
