Trying to install MS Front Page
I'm a very new convert to Linux and have just installed Ubuntu 6.1/
Gnome. Because I need to run a couple of Windows apps, I also
installed Wine and IE. Using winefile, I tried to install Front Page,
but although everything looked as if it was going OK, it failed at the
point where it was attempting to write Registry Values. The following
screen opened on my desktop, which seems to be a log of

After it installs I go to /root/ and execute wine which creates the

office xp with wine /media/cdrom/setup.exe. The installer comes up and I

I have been using this share for sometime with no problems, but now
after installing 3.0.6 I have an issue.
Most applications I have work fine, only three are suspect.
OfficeXP, will start the install but it stops with the error,
installation source has been corrupted. The Samba log show it is looking

Re: problem with libraries in MS Access XP
Hi
I just ran into this problem as well. The MS Access Runtime tells me:
"This file is located outside your intranetor on an untrusted site. <application name> will not open the file due to potential security problems. To open the file, copy it to your machine or an accessible network location."
The file is in the regular wine location. The Runtime is started as follows: env

Hi all
I've been using nut to manage a variety of smart and dumb UPS's for
about a year now, so I've got no excuse for just subscribing to the
list now. Except maybe that the debian-user lists provide plenty of
reading material. Anyway, I recently updated a couple of boxes to
2.6.15 kernels from 2.4.x and got to learn fun things about udev. I'm
happy to do a write up on a simple udev

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hello Sean and Tobias,
Sean,
Thank you. Could you describe Nick's ideas in few words or give me links
to your discussion, so I could adapt my ideas to it.
Tobias,
Your patch fails on several modules in my benchmark (73 of ~1800 tests).
I have sent one as attachment.
See statistics files for more details, all the .ll files you could
simply find in test-suite object directory (after

[LLVMdev] MergeFunctions: reduce complexity to O(log(N))
Hi Stepan,
Sorry for the delay. It's great that you are working on MergeFunctions
as well and I agree, we should definitely try to combine our efforts to
improve MergeFunctions.
Just to give you some context, the pass (with the similar function
merging patch) is already being used in a production setting. From my
point of view, it would be better if we focus on improving its
capability

network falls asleep on guest
Hi all,
I have a Debian Lenny domU running on an Etch dom0 (xm info output
below). It seems that the domU network falls asleep after some time.
After some activity, either trying to do something like a ping or dig
from within the domU or enough client attempts to connect to a samba
share, it comes back up. That wouldn''t be terrible, except that the
delays in reconnecting to the samba
