Thanks Samba Community!!!
You folks are the greatest.
Rolled out my first Samba "member server" today.
Read the stuff from SWAT, and it worked the first time on RH7.3, after it
failed on RH8
You folks are the best, we're struggling to stay afloat and M$ squeezes us
for more.
(RH is pushing me to Debian by the day!!!)
There will be a lot more Samba in the farm soon.
My deepest grattitude.
Respectully,

Thread safety in activerecord(?), connection lost to mysql server - simple code sample provided
Hello all,
I know that this issue has come up before, but I read all the previous posts
regarding thread safety and haven''t come up with a solution. I''m spawning
lots of threads in a backgroundrb worker that each do things with
activerecord models. I get the connection lost to mysql server exception
about 90% of the time, with my process working by sheer luck the other 10%.

Re: sip change? (Rich Adamson)
Hi Rich,
I had to change all my nat=yes to nat=route in the sip.conf.
nat=yes seems to be ignored in today's CVS.

asterisk 1.2.12 lost phone registrations today... why?
I lost my internet connection today for a short time.
During that time 1.2.12.1 stopped talking to my phones.
Asterisk was still working as I got 2 voicemails. I have TDM analog
cards for incoming calls.
Anyway my cisco phones had X's (lost registration) and my uniden phones
said "Registration error".
Why would phones loose registration to asterisk when the internet

[LLVMdev] Maximum inlining threshold
Hi,
We want to apply the deepest possible inlining to the target code. Looks like
builder.Inliner = createFunctionInliningPass(2000);
does the sufficient inlining, but what would be the best value for
threshold here? Apparently,
builder.Inliner = createFunctionInliningPass(numeric_limits<int>::max());
gives less inlining, that 2000.
Thanks,
- D.

RE:mandrake linux install of zaptel
Extreme N00b, I am getting the error message "a target does not exist" when
running the make install inside the zap directory, probably pretty common,
possibly a package I didn't install, just need some insight on it. The same
occurs with the libpri and asterisk.

ThePirateBay.org take advantage of HTML5's <VIDEO>
Word just came in from TorrentFreak that ThePirateBay.org have been
working on a streaming video website for countless months that takes
advantage of the free media formats OGG, Theora and Vorbis.
While filesharing in itself is a controversial subject, this will place
HTML5's <VIDEO> and <AUDIO> tag--and more importantly the OGG
Theora+Vorbis multimedia format--in the

Big Thanks to all the supporters!
Good afternoon,
this list has always been a place for people at different levels of
skills to meet and discuss Icecast (and not so Icecast) related topics.
However what is hardly told about is how much work it is for those who
provide their knowledge, time, and passion to those in seek of help.
I would like to thank everyone who does that on this list. It often is a
hard job and it is often

avoiding (another) error
Dear all,
Many thanks to all who always so quickly respond with helpful hints!
Currently I am working with R 0.63.1 on SuSE 5.2 which I installed this
morning within about half an hour: my deepest compliments to the
developpers! (I had still 0.62.2 before.)
This time I am trying the following:

Sweave \Sexpr{} advice please
Dear List,
First off, my deepest gratitude to the Sweave developers: this tool has
improved my quality greatly.
A question in my work I use \Sexpr{} statements scalar values and the xtable
package for all manner of tables. What I'd like to do is to use a vector
inline, rather than a whole separate table. Something like:
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% begin code
% Latex junk

predict rpart: new data has new level
Hi. I uses rpart to build a regression tree. Y is continuous. Now, I try
to predict on a new set of data. In the new set of data, one of my x (call
Incoterm, a factor) has a new level.
I wonder why the error below appears as the guide says "For factor
predictors, if an observation contains a level not used to grow the tree, it
is left at the deepest possible node and

pleasse come up with a single patchset for the architecture as it
is not merged, with signed-offs by both of you
