moving from asterisk1.2 to asterisk1.4
Hello all,
I'm moving from Asterisk 1.2 to Asterisk 1.4.0-beta3. I'm just
configuring an extension associated to an external sip-based voip
service provider in order to be able to initiate/rcv pstn calls.
Is there any relevant issue when moving from v1.2 to v1.4? Maybe
something related to sip.conf/type variable?
I'm only configuring sip.conf and extensions.conf config files.
Thanks

Your Zap conf files would be helpful. Zttest results? Cat
/proc/interrupts. Sharing interrupts?
Any funky error in the logs?
Thanks,

New CURL version dependency
I just checked IceCast out from CVS in an attempt to compile it again (I
went through the whole build cycle just a couple of months ago), and I
came across this error when I was building it:

error compiling icecast on woody
I had this same problem. To fix, I just commented the line with
the CURLOPT_NOSIGNAL out since I couldn't find that option anywhere in
the curl headers. It's running fine on my Debian woody box.

when we try to add CURL code to file channel.c we get an error - undefined reference to curl_easy_init
Hi all,
When I try to add CURL code to file channel.c we get an error - undefined
reference to curl_easy_init.
I've added #include <curl/curl.h> so the code compiles fine.
this error is generated by the linker, even though func_curl.c is compiled
and linked with no errors
My asterisk machine have curl and curl-devel 7.12 installed.
Asterisk version i am using is 1.4.17.

OriginateEvent reason codes.
Hi.
I'm making calls via the Manager OriginateAction. My action is set to be
async and therefore I receive originiate events. Within the originate
event that I receive there is a reason code. In the event of failure I
need to dermine why the call failed (no pickup, rejected, no such
number, circuit busy, ect) and inform the user with a meaningful
message. I assume that one is suppose to

The UPGRADE.txt of asterisk distribution contains the following snippet
under the MeetMe heading:

Or maybe have YP disabled by default and have it complain as above if you
enable it with a configure option?

asterisk + web services
List,
We're working on an upcoming job that may require us to access a web
service (WS). I'm curious to hear peoples thoughts on the best way to
do this with asterisk. We'll be submitting a single number to the WS
and it will return a success or error.
One solution would be to write a simple perl script to interface into
to the WS, and use SYSTEM() from asterisk to call it.
