Hi, IF i use a sip softphone or a iax softphone with asterisk, i get a lag of about 1 second. The two phones were on 2 different pc's near me. When I speak on one, i hear it on the other after about 1 second. I tried using iaxComm, Xten Xlite, etc. Same. FYI: The codec used was GSM. I have tested both KPhone and IaxComm for linux but receiving no audio from asterisk. sound is working fine, as I can listen playing files using PLAY or APLAY. As a test, I was trying to use Iaxcomm and Iaxphone to connect to Asterisk and dial out to my other line. Using either of these soft phones, I can connect to Asterisk and listed to audio just fine. If I call into it, iaxcomm will ring; however if I leave iaxcomm sitting idle for awhile (I haven't figured out exactly how long) it seems to miss calls. When I use a soft phone such as iaxcomm and firefly, I find that when the extension is rung from any channel (zap, IAX, SIP) that while the phone is ringing, before it is answered, audio is passed between the caller and called phone. I updated from CVS yesterday and today and still have the problem. IaxComm cannot transfer the call when it's an outgoing call. Hello, I installed 1.6.2.17 version of asterisk. Set the user database to realtime. I have no problems with sip users. They can register talk etc.. With iax clients, they can register also.. And when they call iax to sip, it works. When they make an echo test..no voice received on iax clients. When they make call from sip to iax ..no sound received on iax clients. I didnt see any clue on debug.
