installation of WISO07 failed
hello,
I use wine 1.0-rc3 on a SuSE Linux 10.3;
trying to install WISO07, I was asked whether
Windows Media Player 9 was available,
and if not if it should be first installed;
I decided to install WMP9 first, and got a list
of errors and fixme (see here under);
but the installation seemed to be ok;
then I restarted the installation of WISO07 under wine
but got a typical Windows error message

Vorbis in Windows Media Player 9, (partial) success
As I said on http://wiki.xiph.org/ClientSupport
I managed to get WMP9 under Windows 2003 to work with OGG vorbis files.
Requisite : OggDS 0.9.9.5
- they can be opened with the Open... dialog and WMP does not complain any
more that it is an unsupported file format
- they can be dragged from explorer into WMP and WMP will play them without
any complaint
- they can be added to the media library.

Adding media with WMP9
Hi! I finally got WMP9 installed and working on wine 0.9.17 on FC5. It
can play music fine (don't need it for video), but if I try to add a
folder (full of subfolders or just mp3's), than the progress bar stays
at 0% forever. I didn't see a bugzilla for it, so I just wanted to make
sure that there is no fix first. Thanks!

32-bit Wine on 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04?
Hello!
Installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit today, then wine, and found out that programs are now installed in directories like Program Files or Program Files (x86).
It seems like I have 64-bit Wine or something?..
Then I want to get a 32-bit ver of Wine on my 64-bit OS.
That may sound stupid, but I think some of my programs stopped working because of this.
When I tried installing WMP9 through

Ogg support in Windows Media Player 9 and WMP Media Library
Greetings all,
I've got some questions and news (I think) regarding the Ogg
DirectShow filter, and Ogg support in Windows Media Player
and the WMP Media Library.
The OggDS that's in CVS -- is there any reason it's only
at the 0.9.9.3 level and not the 0.9.9.5 level that's on
Tobias's webpage?

Alternative to windows media player?
Hi,
I'm installing Wine for the first time on my Mac through MacPorts.
I've been reasonably successful and the application that I wanted to use, a training program, runs almost flawlessly :-)
It does ask to use Windows Media Player and I did install WMP9 and this installed fine and the application does play the videos. However, these are thumbnail sized. While this isn't a big deal,

New winetricks 20080522: added directx9, wmp10, mono19; lots of bug fixes, nicer gui
Winetricks, described at http://wiki.winehq.org/winetricks,
is a handy tool for downloading bits and pieces that
ought to be included in Wine or in Windows apps,
but aren't yet for some reason.
Since the last time I announced it on wine-users, I've
added three new verbs:
directx9, wmp10, and mono19
and fixed lots of bugs.
The directx9 verb is experimental. Please try it and let me

Merging Ogg streams whilst updating the Skeleton?
Oh, sorry, I completely misunderstood. You want to make them
time-parallel streams!
I would merge them with oggz-merge without skeleton and then add
skeleton using oggindex e.g.
http://git.xiph.org/?p=OggIndex.git;a=summary .
(oggindex is also available from http://firefogg.org/nightly/ )
Hope that helps.
Silvia.

Rise of Legends video problems
I'm running WINE 1.3.33 (on Ubuntu 10.10 64bit)
I've installed the Rise of Legends retail version and that runs fine. The game starts, gives a warning about AGP Texture Acceleration not being enabled, and then ends up with a TINY version of the game screen in the upper left corner of the screen. I can actually almost see the dialogs in the game etc, and when I tried the demo version of

Thanks to Austin English for taking on most of the work keeping
winetricks up to date!
(And apologies for my own slowness in doing another release.)

[HOWTO] Priorize one destination over another on a link
Hello List,
The list sorted my problem thus I shall contribute back ;-)
PROBLEM:
========
I am posting this example, where I have a "Reunion" link of 30 channels. If
i send all the traffic (proper + mobile) on the link, the less profitable
proper traffic fills the link and leaves no channel for more profitable
mobile traffic. Some kind of priority is needed to always leave space for
