Digium Hardware Question from Newbie
Hello folks, I'm very interested in the Digium/Asterisk combination but need some clarification. I would like to setup a SOHO for business and home use. Scenario One: I have one analog line, 4 analog telephones. Do I need a TDM400P + 4 FXS modules (Green) + X100P? Scenario Two: 2 analog lines, 1 selective ring number for fax, 8 analog phones. Is this what I need? 2 TDM400Ps and 8 FXS

X100P random hangups - Please help with suggestions
Thanks for the reply Bill. I am aware of the interrupts problem. To solve it I have already disabled my serial ports freeing up interrupts 3 and 4 and these are allocated to the two cards. This was done 2 months ago and has not solved the problem. Is there any way that something can wake up every now and then and generate these two interrupts? My current /proc/interrupts is as follows:

E400P and 2 X100P working, but not together
Hey all, ? I'm trying to get an E400P and 2 X100Ps working together in the one box and don't seem to be having much luck. ? I can get the two different types of boards working separately, but not together.? I've made calls on both the X100P and have seen sync and correct signalling on the E400P.? But when I try to enable to configs together I get the following: ? modprobe wcfxo

X100P Kernel Panic
Hi, I know this seems to be a hit topic at the moment but no matter where I look I can't find an answer. I have got a simple Linux fedora core 2 installation, asterisk running and 2 X100Ps' and 1 TDM400 with the FXS modules (thou I've taking this out to simplify things). Sometimes and not always after hanging up on the Zap channel the box will do a kernel panic, or just loading

Analog FXO Card
If anyone is looking, I just ran accross an ebay auction for X100P Cards at what I thought was a very reasonable price. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3046843672&category=48483&rd=1 --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? testing asterisks
I am interested in running asterisks and gno phone. However, i have yet to purchase the x100p cards. Is there a way for me to test asterisks in like a simulated mode or something? (to get used to it and the configs and stuff, prior to purchasing the x100ps?) Thanks all, A.J.

How do you avoid or reduce false hangups on X100P?
Hi Most of the threads in the list archive relating to X100P and hangups are about not detecting hangups. We have got the opposite problem. We have experienced an increased number of false hangups when connecting an X100P to an analog port of an ISDN terminal adapter. It happens more frequently on incoming calls than it does on outgoing calls. Often hangups occur after about 3-4 minutes into the

RE: Zaptel X100P Kernel Panic
How do I do this? Ive looked on lunix pages but ive seen that I have to change the config of the kernel build, is that right? Or do I need a different kernel altogether? Also the sites say the 8K is about as large as you should take the stack :oS Also someone posted that I need to sort out the IRQs, is this part of linux? As you can guess I'm kinda new to linux, although ive used it for 2yrs

tdm (and x100p?) echo - fix is coming!
Good news! FYI, worked with Mark this afternoon to test changes needed to reduce or eliminate echo involving pstn calls on the new tdm fxo card (bug #1902). Three simple source code changes (testing-only at this point) resulted in zero detectable echo on all incoming and outgoing tdm pstn calls, even in the first second or two. I've not noticed any unusual side effects at all. Since the

Static on outgoing calls using either X100P or TDM400P
Hello. I've seen several posts talking about line quality using Digium cards that are sharing IRQs or on machines where X is running but after trying all of those fixes I am still having a problem with line static on outoing calls. BTW, calls that are from one extension to another extension have no static, however, they have occasional clicks and pops. At any rate, I was wondering if

TDM400P and AGGRESSIVE_SUPPRESSOR dropping calls
Hi, I had been using 4 X100P cards in my Asterisk box, but 2 of them were sharing an interrupt. Therefore, periodically I would hear beeps and clicks that I had assumed were a result of this. So, I ordered a TDM400P with 4 FXO modules and installed it in the box last night. Today, we've had nothing but problems with it dropping calls. I installed the latest CVS of everything, and we've

Second X100P card won't work
Greetings all, I've just put two X100P cards to my box and despite trying everything I can find on the web, I can't get the second one to work. I've edited /etc/modules.conf so that ztcfg doesn't run automatically. To start, I run: /sbin/modprobe zaptel /sbin/modprobe wcfxo /sbin/ztcfg /sbin/modprobe ixj and ztcfg says: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 2: No such device or

DSL vs X100P
I was told the X100P will have issues if installed on a line with a DSL connection. Is there a card that will work correctly on a DSL connection? Dead FXO Module on TDM400P?
Since the irc channel wasn't any help, I will try posting my problem here. I have two TDM400Ps less than a week old in a PC. All of the FXS ports work fine, and all of the FXO ports worked fine up until thisafternoon. If I try to dial in, I get a busy signal, if I try to dial out, all I hear is a very scratchy, very crackly dialtone. If I swap the first FXO module with the second on the card,

Pass-thru port on X100P Clone
I am using 2 X100P clone cards in my asterisk system, and have one phone line plugged into the 'line' port of each card. On one of the cards, I also have a cable plugged into the 'phone' port and this cable is then connected to the modem on my PC so that I can use it for dial-up. I thought that this would then allow me to do dial-up and at the same time it would lock the port so

Beginners help
Hi, I recently purchased two X100Ps and a TMD40B. I have set everything up according to the instructions however I can't get asterisk to pick up an incoming call (It just keeps ringing). Also, when I pick up an internal extension I get dead air. I searched the mailing list for 3+ hours -- What am I missing? Thanks in advance for your help. Here are the installion steps that I used:

Discriminating between two incoming lines?
It seems like I've seen how to do this, but so far my archives search has come up dry. I have two X100Ps working with a single instance of asterisk, and I want to do different things with incoming calls depending on which line has rung in. Could someone provide me with a quick pointer? Thx. B.

indications issues in Singapore?
Hi all, haven't seen many posts about asterisk in Singapore... Getting a server going there and was wondering if TDM400Ps will be fine in FCC mode, and if there are indications / cadence values that I should be putting on there as in other international locations. Seen an unsettling post on voip-info about Singapore issues with Call Polarity/Hangup Detection -- crossing my fingers I
