Cisco 7912 Phones & XML
Friends,
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Cisco+7905%252F7912+IP+Phones states
under "SIP Software Limitations" that XML is not supported on this
phone. However, my tech data summary of this product states:
"In addition, XML applications deliver impressive applications and
network data to the Cisco IP Phone 7912G display."
Can someone please clear this up for me?

SUSE Patches
Hello all,
I am running SLES9 with the latest kernel patches (2.6.5-7.282-bigsmp)
and ocfs2 version (1.2.1-SLES), I was wondering if anyone had any info
on if the latest ocfs2 will be included in SLES anytime soon. Or how to
get the patches from Novell. Thanks in advance!

OCFSv2 in a mail cluster environment
Hello,
First, thanks to all the people who helped to license this software under
the GPL. This is a very important piece of work for the Free Software in the
Enterprise Market.
Just a few newbie questions. We've been thinking about implmenting a mail
cluster with a Fiber SAN (IBM DS-4000) and OCFSv2 as the storage
backend. The information on this volume will essentially be Postfix

ocfs2 cluster becomes unresponsive
We are running OCFS2 on SLES9 machines using a FC SAN. Without warning both nodes will become unresponsive. Can not access either machine via ssh or terminal (hangs after typing in username). However the machine still responds to pings. This continues until one node is rebooted, at which time the second node resumes normal operations.
I am not entirely sure that this is an OCFS2 problem at all

OT: high static in server room
Hi guys,
Sorry for the OT.
For the last couple of weeks I notice that the static in my server
room is worrisomely noticeable.
I cannot see what may be causing it....
Care to share some of your experience what may be the cause and the remedy?
Thank you.

[OT] Leveno HDD caddies
This is very off topic but, I have no idea where else to ask. We obtained
some used Leveno CTO7483 desktop units for experimentation. I had intended to
install CentOS-7 on one of them. As they arrived with a vendor upgraded
Windows 7ProSP1 install without media I decided to pull the disk drive and
install onto a spare drive that I installed.
Those of you with any experience with this model

CentOS Stream suitability as a production webserver
Hello
I've recently discovered the announcement regarding the change in direction
for the CentOS project and I imagine like many others, I'm confused and
concerned about what this means moving forward.
I work for a small web development agency and we offer hosting as part of
our package to clients who need it. We have many CentOS 7 web servers
(DigitalOcean droplets) (LAMP/LEMP) that I

sem vs. LISREL: sem fails
I am new to R.
I just tried to recreate in R (using sem package and the identical input data) a solution for a simple measurment model I have found before in LISREL. LISREL had no problems and converged in just 3 iterations.
In sem, I got no solution, just the warning message:
"Could not compute QR decomposition of Hessian.
Optimization probably did not converge.

creating a path diagram in sem
Hello,
I finally run my measurement model in sem - successfully. Now, I am trying to print out the path diagram that is based on the results - but for some reason it's not working. Below is my script - but the problem is probably in my very last line:

library(sem)
# Creating the ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, AND FEAR intercorrelation matrix

Login_engine - auth against email rather that username?
Hi all,
Short of hacking the code apart, is there a method making the
login_engine authenticate against email address rather than username?
I find that people rarely remember usernames, and would prefer to use
email addresses as the identifier.
Thanks!

Speex mailing list migrating to xiph.org
Hello Speex list members,
The Speex Project is moving into space here on Xiph.Org's servers,
and among other things, we're taking over running the mailing list.
The new address for Speex mail is 'speex-dev@xiph.org'. All the
members of the current list are already added to the new speex-dev
list. An online searchable mailing list archive is at

Public mirror synchronization failing
Hello,
Our CentOS public mirror synchronization is failing since yesterday,
with the log files showing the following "Permission denied" messages.
It seems that my server is not able to access some of the files; any
leads on to how to resolve it?

This is a test of Nixnet blocking
Most of the time since last Thursday or so, that piece of crap called
Nixnet (ix.manitu) has been blocking my hosting provider's mailservers.
I did ask, when I talked to support last week, and they host *millions* of
domains. They do not have a million techs (neither does google - but I'm
*sure* none of you have ever gotten spam from google mail, right?).
Again, I'll give my argument

How to avoid CIFS timeout?
Dear all,
My storage could be very slow for open/read/write sometimes (not always). To avoid CIFS timeout (Linux), I configure samba server "async smb echo handler = yes".
On server side, I can see two smbd processes are generated for every CIFS client, and one of them is for echo server.
On client side, I confirm CIFS 1.0 is used (and "hard" option is also used).
But I can

[LLVMdev] Convert fdiv - X/Y -> X*1/Y
I remember why I didn't implement this rule in Instcombine. It add one
instruction. So,
this xform should be driven by a redundancy eliminator if you care code

Network time sync and reverse NetBios name lookup
I made a somewhat deep check for time synchronization and I
couldn't find what I was looking for. What I need to do is synchronize
the clock on a Linux box to the clock on an NT server. I can't use NTP
or any other protocol because the NT box doesn't understand it. Any
pointers would be great.
The second issue is that I need to do (if possible) a reverse
NetBios name lookup by
