make: *** SUBDIRS=/usr/src/modules/zaptel: No such file or directory.
Stop.

Modprobe zaptel reports FATAL: Module zaptel not found
I am (unsuccessfully) trying to install zaptel (incl ztdummy - I don't have
any Digium hardware) on CentOS 4.
uname -r
2.6.9-42.ELsmp
Not sure how this relates to 2.6.9-42.0.3 (see below)
ln -s /usr/src/kernels/`uname -r` /usr/src/linux
ln -s /usr/src/kernels/`uname -r` /usr/src/linux-2.6
cd /usr/src/zaptel-1.2.11*
make linux26
You do not appear to have the sources for the 2.6.9-42.ELsmp

zaptel-1.4.0-beta2 Getting it to compile on Fedora Core 6 _64bit
I keep running into the dead end that it can't find config.h in the source
tree.
It looks like newer kernels don't use it anymore.
Someone ran into this awhile back when compiling 1.2 and it looks as
though the issue was never resolved.
Any ideas?
Last time I tried this, I was on fedora core 5 64bit and all went well.
It's not working on this newer setup
Any ideas on what I can do

Problems building zaptel 1.4.4
Hi,
I'm having trouble compiling zaptel 1.4.4 on SUSE 10.1. I'm really
only interested in getting ztdummy to work because this is a dev
machine with no zaptel h/w. SUSE 10.1 is a 2.6 kernel:
asterisk-dev:/home/hugh # uname -r
2.6.16.13-4-default
It seems that my problem is related to autoconf.h - I cannot find that file:
asterisk-dev:/home/hugh # find / -name 'autoconf.h'

What's the best ztdummy?
I have several servers using ztdummy as the timing source, some CentOS
4.x, some CentOS 5.x, some Asterisk 1.2.x, some Asterisk 1.4.x.
"zap show status" differs between the servers:
ZTDUMMY/1 (source: Linux26) 1 UNCONFIGUR 0 0 0
ZTDUMMY/1 (source: RTC) 1 UNCONFIGUR 0 0 0
ZTDUMMY/1 1 UNCONFIGUR 0

Zaptel won't compile under Fedora Core 4
I hope someone can offer me some help with this. Basically, the current CVS
version of Zaptel will not compile under Fedora Core 4. I have closely
followed the directions in
http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+Fedora+Core+3 using
the versions given in the FC4 distro with no luck. Here's the output when I
run "make linux26". Any help would be great. TIA.

oslec + dahdi
Hi list, I install dahdi-linux successfully with the module of oslec
for the echo, but when I specify it in the system.conf the echo
canceller oslec it shows me errors:
DAHDI_ATTACH_ECHOCAN failed on channel 4: Invalid argument (22)
I see that the echo cancellers is supported: mg2, kb1, sec2, and sec
because oslec is not supported?, but he has support to compile it with
dahdi_linux!

FW: zaptel 1.4.0 on Fedora Core 6 x86_64
I tried to test Asterisk 1.4 on FC6 x86_64. I have it working on FC5 x86_64
very good, but since FC keeps updating, I tried to follow newer kernel
versions.
I can't pass the zaptel compilation. Everything is OK, but when I finished,
and tried to load it, allways got module not found when I run modprobe
zaptel, and modprobe ztdummy.
I already tried to modify is with the sed 1 option but

Bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1q and & florz patch compile trouble
Again trouble compiling bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1q with the florz patch on a
x86_64 box (I guess nobody is using x86_64 platform or is able to fix this
themselves?)
First of all when bristuff is downloaded and compile is started it appears
that the bristuff Makefiles are badly broken.
The asterisk Makefiles all do see to find the kernel sources on a RHEL4
box in the proper directory, the pure
