Hello, I have a windows application called Anita (terminal emulation sofware from www.april.se) that runs just fine on Linux with WINE. The problem is that Anita needs to open an HTML page and display a PDF file. It works on Windows - terminal emulation software displays the PDF file without any problems but it doesn't work on linux. It displays a blank page. My guess is because on Windows

I've installed wine version 1.1.37 on Slackware 13.0 32-bit using pkginstall. Internet explorer loads via wine: example cd /home/tim/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Internet Explorer wine iexplore.exe

What is one supposed to do with such applications ? I understand from reading the FAQ that actuallty installing IE under Wine is frowned up. So I use Wine Gecko instead. I've seen from Wine Bugzilla that the installation may go better if I install Windows Script first. I've used winetricks to install wsh56. There are several other choices. I've no idea how to choose between them.

I have, I think, successfully installed Wine 1.0.1 on Ubuntu 9.04. Notepad seems to work and I managed to install an app although I uninstalled it again as the app didn't run. However, if I browse the c: drive and go to Program Files > Internet Explorer and try to run iexplore.exe all I get is a window with just Wine Internet Explorer in the window but no IE. Am I missing something?

Hi. I try to run Internet Explorer 5.5 I am using native dlls for shlwapi.dll and comctl32.dll Internet Explorer is working but I can not enter a URL. There is no address-bar. Hello Guys, first, thank you for wine, its great. Currently I am trying to run a MS-HTML Application on wine....Everything is working fine, except one thing. The application needs to open a PDF in the browser. I tried acrobat 6, foxy-reader and pdf viewer.
