Capability problems dovecot 2.0
Hi,
I had some problems connecting TB 2.x with dovecot 2.0. TB2 complained about not being an IMAP4 server. TB 3 worked.
It seems that dovecot 2.0 doesn't return capabilities when queried. Maybe some wrong config, thoug?
Here are the debug logs from TB2 comparing dovecot 2.0 (not working) and dovecot 1.2 (working):
Dovecot 2.0:

RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument
Hi,
On this Fedora Core Devel (Raw Hide) system, if I boot on a distribution
kernel (based on 2.6.12rc1-bk2) the network is fine. If I build a custom
2.6.12-rc1-V0.7.43-06 or 2.6.12-rc1-mm4 kernel the network interface
fails to initialise on boot with RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument.
What can possibly cause this ?
My kernel config should be mostly fine - I used it extensively at a time

Caution: "admin users" and roaming profiles
This is information that might be useful to others, as it drove me nuts
until I could figure it out what I did incorrectly.
I recently installed the 3.0beta and moved everything from 2.2.8a. I'm
still in testing mode, so I rejoined the domain the the few test machines,
and have been deleting and rebuilding test user profiles as I check things
out.
The problem I had occurred with the

problems with R and snow on a debian box only
(Posted also to debian-user)
In my office network I have access to a debian powerpc server and 2 freebsd

Experienced user of the statistical software R, I have now a go at parallel
computation via (r-)pvm and snow under R to enhance the performance of a
heavy duty statistical problem involving many iteration on the calculation
of models.

bootstrap package
Hello R'ers
In previous versions of R (I now use 2.0.1) there was a package
"bootstrap". I wrote some programs that depended heavily on this package
but can unfortunately not find it on Cran today. Is there any way to
find an older version of "bootstrap" and use it with the new version -
2.0.1?

error in using usrmgr.exe
Hello:
I have set up samba PDC using samba 3.0.11. When I use
the usrmgr.exe tool on NT4 machine to add user to the
domain, it prompts and says: "The following error
occurred changeing properties of the user mary: fail
find the group" (The error msg actually appears as
Chinese in my computer, I just translate the error
message).
Then I check with the samba log file and it said:

Short block test
Frank Klemm made the clip to test short block switching -
it's made of series of short periodical 'pulses', and this period
gets smaller as time passes.
You can get this file at:
http://www.uni-jena.de/~pfk/Short_Block_Test.wav.gz.gz (1.6MB)
(uncompress it twice with gzip)
I used oggenc beta3 & mp+ 1.7.8
Oggenc gave 160kbps using mode -b 256
mp+ gave 350kbps (using

Plots with k-means
Hi,
I'm doing a k-means cluster with 6 clusters and 15 variables. Any
suggestions on how to plot the results?
I've tried the standard xy plot, but couldn't get much of it.
Thansk in advance,
Iuri.

sum() returns 0 not NA
Dear all,
just a stupid R question, since the results puzzle me a bit:

[1] NA

[1] NA

Why does sum(c(NA,NA), na.rm=TRUE) return 0 and not NA?
Thanks in advance,
Will
