ATLAS threaded 64 bit (Opteron) - need *.so?
Using ATLAS with R is an old topic quite covered in the "R
Administration" manual (and by R's "configure" script
collection).
I still do not easily manage to build R properly on our new AMD
Opteron (2-processor).
I did work with the current Atlas 3.6.0, configured manually
(but "express" version) to build a threaded ATLAS version, and
successfully ran Atlas'

1.4 res_snmp dependencies (Debian)
I'm having trouble building res_snmp (under Asterisk 1.4.0) on a box
running Debian Sarge. res_snmp says its dependencies are netsnmp but
Debian doesn't seem to have a netsnmp package. I've tried installing
pretty much every package available related to snmp and no luck. I'm
just wondering if anyone has successfully built the res_snmp module
under Debian Sarge stable. Any

* and Zap on AMD64/Opteron
Hi,
I have a server coming, which consists of an ASUS SK8N motherboard, an AMD
Opteron 1.4g cpu, and 512m of dual channel memory. If you're not familiar
with this, the amd opteron is a 64bit cpu that does hardware 32bit
emulation. It will be running suse enterprise server for AMD64.
I will not be running * on this box, but in the future it may be a good
performer. So, before it goes into

use Debian 6.0 with a XEN Kernel. Every time when I start a DomU, the
server makes a hard reset without any kernel panic or output.

Install problem with res_snmp.so from current trunk (bug?)
Just updated two fc3 systems running svn trunk. One updated, installed

R on AMD64 (Opteron)
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has had good experiences using R on Linux with dual AMD64 (Opteron) processors. I'm thinking of buying a couple of such servers, but I'd like to make sure R would work fine.
The "R Installation and Administration" guide notes that there may be some problems with BLAS libraries. That's all I could find about R on AMD64.

res_snmp
Hi,
I have problems compiling asterisk 1.4.11 with res_snmp.
I do 'make menuselect', and I see that this resource module depends on netsnmp.
I am using centOS 4.5.
I do:
> yum install net-snmp net-snmp-devel net-snmp-utils net-snmp-libs
I don't know if i am missing something.
I go to the source directory and I do:
./configure
but still does not work:

fix for broken largefile seek() on 32-bit linux (PR#9883)
Full_Name: John Brzustowski
Version: R-devel-trunk, R-2.4.0

Submission from: (NULL) (206.248.132.197)
DESCRIPTION
seek() on files larger than 2 gigabytes fails for large values of "where" on
i386 linux 2.6.13 (and presumably other 32-bit unix-like platforms).

Your solution is correct, in that it will work and follows with the
current ifdef approach. I applied this patch though, which doesn't use
the ifdefs, hopefully it is more robust:
