Wine & Half-Life
Anyone know how can I fix Half-Life problem? : "Half Life need at least a 16bit color depth to run, usually this is "32768" or "65535" colors" I tried many settings in config, and it doesn't work. I have Wine 20010809 from Debian binaries ( other versions don't work too ) and X 4.1.0 with TrueColor (24bpp) color depth on Nvidia card. -- Pozdrawiam Jakub

Win7 clients problem after upgrading samba file server to 4.12 on Arch
Hi All, It's already 6am at my side. After the whole night of bisecting, compiling and testing I think I have nailed it: fd61e550acec6e9924a71712eef739b58c7d68e8 is the first bad commit commit fd61e550acec6e9924a71712eef739b58c7d68e8 Author: Volker Lendecke <vl at samba.org> Date: Mon Sep 16 16:16:40 2019 -0700 smbd: Don't always walk the share mode array in

Win7 clients problem after upgrading samba file server to 4.12 on Arch
@Andrew, Samba master - what do you mean? A clean compile and install from genuine samba.org sources? As a matter of fact, I was thinking about it.... Let me do the tests now, with tcpdump. Will send some logs and outputs later on. You've asked previously - this is the smbstatus, already on the latest kernel/samba versions. The problem is persistent, no wonder... [root at arch1 /]#

Dovecot 2.3.8 - How to force index creation for user/mailbox?
Neither of dovecot.index files are created (.cache, .log, .thread) - these files are created when I open the folder with IMAP client. When mailbox is not used for long time, the indexing takes very long time. So I'm looking for any solution (preferably with doveadm) to manually reindex folders in background. wt., 3 gru 2019 o 20:23 Aki Tuomi <aki.tuomi at open-xchange.com> napisa?(a):

Win7 clients problem after upgrading samba file server to 4.12 on Arch
@Rowland, Installing and changing to LTS kernel 5.4.38-1-lts doesn't help. Downgrading samba and smbclient to 4.11.3 DOES help. @Andrew, let me first clean up with kernel/samba versions, set log level to 10 and log limit to 0, delete all logs and repeat the whole exercise. Please advice how to get a network capture, I am not that expert... Regards, Pawel. pon., 4 maj 2020 o 22:50 Andrew

Issue with On Line Status (APC MGE Galaxy 5500 + AP9635CH)
One good intro to this is https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/blob/master/docs/snmp-subdrivers.txt although it focuses on adding new subdrivers - but more or less the same workflow applies to extending existing ones. Sometimes it helps to generate a new one for a currently-partially-supported device, and then compare with existing subdriver (using meld or similar GUI helps a lot) to port the

I've got an update on this case Using tkmib I discovered that my UPS (NMC per say) sends its state by OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.11.1.1.0 .iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.apc.products.hardware.ups.upsState.upsBasicState.upsBasicStateOutputState.0 = 0001010000000000001000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 (mib used for this snmpget was powernet441.mib) (I got a description about

Well thanks, The solution for my problem was kinda easy (still need some testing though): found out my ups status is a string, so then I changed the way snmp-ups.c gets the status. Had to change *nut_snmp_get_int *to *nut_snmp_get_str *at around line 3470, then grab fourth char out, use *strtol *function to then send it to *su_status_set *function. I created my copy of *apc-mib.c *with my OID at

[BUG] clear ACL-s on destination
Destroy ACL-s on destination when no ACL-s differens between source and destination. Bug is somehow related with function send_file_name() called with negative file descriptor f. There is no such bug in 2.6.9 version, but there options "-X -A --deleted" can't be used (we have "Internal error: wrong write used in receiver."). If I fix this, avoid calling send_acl() &

So what would it take me to edit NUT's code for my case to work? My Network Management Card sends its output state using unfortunately only (I guess so) this OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.11.1.1.0 Weirdly the standard way of obtaining Battery Status (drivers/apc-mib.c) 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.2.1.1.0 gives me good results. Unfortunately power status OID's value type differs (my: 64 digits

Currently 4.12.3 is scheduled for 19 May: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Release_Planning_for_Samba_4.12#Samba_4.12.3 As Ralph has a patch and you have confirmed it odds are pretty good this will be in there.
