I have the liberation fonts installed via rebuild of fedora 8 src.rpm - including a fontconfig file. I have a little problem, I cannot solve (at least reasonable fast) I use gnu-emacs 21.2.1 with r-1.5.1 on windows 95. In recent versions I changed "process-coding-system-alist" (C-x[REt]p) to "latin-1". Then I was able to plot german "????" etc(rgui does make this correct). I'm looking at some HTBasic code which has it's own drivers to talk go the GPIB card. They seem to be drivers that speak directly to the memory registers of the card.
