Incoming PSTN Calls - Can't interrupt Main Menu
Just another bit of info which might help solve this: Looking at the Asterisk log messages - I notice when I start up Asterisk, I see the error: pbx_config.c: Can't use 'next' priority on the first entry! Could I be right that its something got to do with priorities? I changed the incomingpstn context to the following eliminating the 'n' field and still the same errors were

Asterisk 1.4 and ISDN-BRI support
Hi list, Has anyone been able to get ISDN-BRI support to work reliably on Asterisk 1.4? If so, I'd love to know how you did it (hardware, distro, kernel, modules, versions, config files). I've tried to get it to work on a Debian etch system with an HFC-PCI card and the zaptel package (v1.4.7, also from xorcom.com), but with no luck: all three channels that are created when the

IRC channel #asterisk on irc.freenode.net
Hi all! It's great to start with "for dummies" question, but hey, we all have been human infants also =) Problem is, that I can not log on to this channel and I haven't found anything helpful during the past few days either. 1. The irc.freenode.net server gives me "Couldn't look up your hostname" and "No identd (auth) response" followed with

Using Xen Virtualization Environment for Development and Testing of Supercomputing and High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster MPICH2 MPI-2 Applications
Dear All, I have created a virtual high performance computing (HPC) cluster of 6 compute nodes with MPICH2 using Xen-based Fedora 11 Linux 64-bit paravirtualized (PV) domU guests. Dom0 is Fedora 11 Linux 64-bit. My Intel Desktop Board DQ45CB has a single onboard Gigabit LAN network adapter. I am able to bring up the ring of mpd on the set of 6 compute nodes. ISDN, AVM C4, HFC-cards and echo
Hello, I've been using * for quite a while using AVM C4 card and a few Grandstream Budgetone 102 hard phones plus couple of HandyTone 286. Echo is a big problem. I am getting used to it, but some users complain. Anyone has experience w/ regards to echo comparing the AVM C4 with two HFC-cards? Before shelling out time and money, maybe someone else already has done so, and could tell me if

Anyone using National ISDN (NI-1) BRI under Linux?
I have a North American BRI configured as National ISDN (NI-1) on an SBC (Nortel?) switch. SBC calls this "FastTrak ISDN", and it's surprisingly inexpensive -- less than two POTS lines. I've been trying to find an inexpensive PCI interface solution to connect this to Asterisk as voice lines. I prefer ISDN BRI over POTS lines because of the improved signalling, fast dialing,

Problem with ISDN HFC-S card
Hi, I have built another Asterisk box using one ISDN HFC-S card and Bristuff-0.2.0-RC8p. But this time it behaves very strangely. Asterisk simply hangs and in logs I receive something like this: --NOTICE [1197]: PRI got event: HDLC Bad FCS (8) on Primary D-channel of span 1 --NOTICE [1197]: PRI got event: HDLC Abort (6) on Primary D-channel of span 1 And when I want to call a ZAP channel I get
