configuring a Cisco 7961 so that different line appearances register to different SIP proxy addresses
Hi, I have been using Cisco 7960's with Asterisk for years. I am trying get a 7961 working and have a problem. In my configuration, not all of my line appearances register to the same Asterisk SIP server. I have an Asterisk server at home and another at work. Unprovisioned 7961
Hi Everyone, I am having some issues getting my 7961 working with Trixbox. I have loaded the SIP code (8-3-3SR2) fine but when the phone boots up it goes into an unprovisioned state. A status message shows up and says ?Error Verifying Config Info?. I have read quite a bit on this topic (getting 7961?s to work with Asterisk and TB) and only came across a few postings where other people

Registering Cisco 7942G IP phone with Asterisk!.
Hi, ? We are new to IP phone firmware upgradation (Sorry if it is a re-post of previous question(s)). ? Recently we have bought a cisco 7942G IP phone. It currently has SIP 42.9-0-2SR1S firmware loaded on it. We do not see any option to configure a SIP Proxy where we can provide SIP Server (Asterisk PC/Device)? IP address (with current firmware on it) to register it with Asterisk. ? Do we need to

SIP kpml DTMF support in *
Hi, I'm trying to connect Asterisk 1.4 and Cisco CallManager 5 using SIP Trunk without MTP (media termination point). Howerver, Cisco 79xx phones do not support RFC2833, they always notify CCM5 via SKINNY channel no matter where they send RTP to. For non-MTP trunk there's Out-of-band DTMF support in CCM5 called "kpml". I wonder if Asterisk can support it. I found an

Can't configure Cisco 7942 avec factory reset
Hi, (I think) I followed instructions here ( http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Firmware+issues+on+7940+-+7960 section "Notes added Nov 2005, revised May 2006:" at the bottom of the page) to factory reset a Cisco 7942 I wanted to configure to SIP firmware. When booting, I can see this requesting and obtaining file term42.default.loads from TFTP server. Then it would send a request

OT: Patch to OSS app for CDP without a Cisco switch - TESTERS WANTED
Hey everyone, I came across a situation where I needed to use CDP to advertise a voice vlan to Polycom/Cisco (and other CDP capable phones) without a Cisco switch. Sure I have Cisco switches in places but I like my Polycoms to work out of the box and it isn't always practical to purchase a Cisco switch for every location. cdp-tools homepage: http://gpl.internetconnection.net/ So I

Cisco 7970 BLF/Presence
I have been trying to get the 7970 (running SIP firmware) to display presence information about other extensions. Thus far, I have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have BLF working on the SIP-loaded 7941/7961/7970/7971? I have been using the following as a guide for my work: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+Presence+for+Cisco+79x1+Phones I have successfully implemented every step

[PATCH] Generalize HMAC implementation
Hello everyone and Timo in particular, about a year ago I implemented a SHA-1 variant of the HMAC(-MD5) present in Dovecot. I had always disliked this a bit, because it replicates a lot of code. This patch generalizes the HMAC function to take a hash_method struct as parameter, and changes existing code which uses the "old" HMAC function to use this new one. I'm not really sure

Asterisk connecting to nortel CS 1000 as sip trunk Need help with final piece (incoming call) outgoing works.
All, I am connecting to a CS 1000 nortel PBX. I can call out, I have limited success with call in. I get debug traffic that a call is coming in but I get the message "Unable to create/find channel". I was expecting that incoming calls over the trunk would be handled from my sip definition and goto the nortel context. It is not. Below is the actual incoming call debug information. I am

Extracting x-values from an ecdf
Dear R users, Quick question on the use of ecdf for producing a cumulative distribution function. After having produced a cumulative distribution using ecdf, I would like to extract the exact x-value for a given percentile. For example I can ascertain the 1st and 3rd quartile using the summary function: cawa.cdp <- ecdf(cawaocc$LEFF80) plot(cawa.cdp, ylab="Fn(x)")

Obtaining x-values from ECDF
Dear Group, I am using the ecdf function as follows: cawa.cdp <- ecdf(cawaocc$LEFF80) summary(cawa.cdp) Empirical CDF: 223 unique values with summary Min. 1st Qu. Median Mean 3rd Qu. Max. 0.07918 1.35700 1.68600 1.61000 1.91200 2.70000 I can see by the summary that the y-value for the 3rd quartile is 1.912. How can I obtain the x-value for a specified y-value (e.g., 0.8)?

7970 CTLFile.tlv?
I've got a Cisco 7970 that's not completing its network registration to Asterisk. The "Registering" message stays on the screen (with the moving time wheel). After a few minutes, the onscreen message flashes "Updating CTL" then "Loading...", then the status messages update with: No valid CAPF server File Not Found: CTLFile.tlv No CTL installed

Polycom provision errors still! Arg!
I have been struggling over central provisioning for quite some time. I have eagerly watched each post with like problems but have yet to find a reliable answer. I have a Polycom 501 and I am trying to provision from an FTP server, and just to take any routing out of the issue it is on the same subnet. I am running the 2.0.1.0291 firmware and 3.2.2 bootrom. I set the IP info on the phone and

Configure one call per line on Cisco 7941/7961
Anyone aware of how to configure one call per line on a Cisco 7941/7961? The default behaviour is to have two calls per line button, and this is confusing for some of my users so I'd like to be able to have the 2nd call ring the second line button, rather than being shared with the first. I'm hoping this is something that is configurable in the XML or on the phone UI. Thanks Gary
