prevent non-free calls
Dear Asterisk-Users,
does anyone know how to prevent non-free calls to Broadvoice Unlimited
World ?
This first thing I did is I accept only that coutry prefixes (in
extensions.conf) that are in the Unlimited World dialplan.
I was also able to filter out german cell phones (cause they begin with
1 and no landline is beginning with 1). US is also no problem as cell
phone calls are unlimited

Dear all -
I am looking for some information about ISDN in Venezuela. I need a small Asterisk system with 2 ISDN channels at our offices in Venezuela (Caracas).
Can anyone advise me on the best option? I am getting mixed reports - I am told that a BRI will cost me 1000 US dollars per month! An E1 significantly less, but the person there is not very familiar with telecoms.
Can anyone familiar

reconnecting liveice
Hi everybody.
Is there a way to set up liveice so it reconnects to Icecast
automatically when the connection is lost?.
I tried to automate this process by using a crontab and a perl script,
but when liveice is run with the -@ 2 option It seams It doesn't realize
that the connection has been broken and continues "running". If I do ps
ax, I can see liveice is "running",

Web Admin Settings
Hi everybody. I'm still trying to solve the problem with link in the set
mode page (web admin interface). I have seen in the source file
(item.c) that it is suppose to return and string, but it's returning
nothing. It's ware it can't build the link correctly, because only left
the argument value, and each value is printed previously. I'm going to
keep hacking to try to resolve

Some issues with UPS Forza SL-1001
Hi to everybody. Some days ago, I bought an UPS by Forza Power Technologies,
model SL-1001. This Forza SL-1001 is line-interactive, has 14,4 A/h charge
and is rated at 1000VA. Before, I had a TrippLite Omni 500 (or something
like that), a simple contact-closure UPS, and I used nut with the simple
genericupsdriver, so I'm new with this type of UPSs.
NUT doesn't list Forza as a

vardiag Package and nlregb
Hi everyone,
I'm interested in the analysis of spatial data, and I'm trying out several
R-packages.
Today I was attempting to use the package vardiag (version 0.1):

so far I know "nlregb" is a S-plus function for optimization, so this

Check out if there is another application using /dev/dsp. Especially if
you have Mandrake and KDE, because Mandrake set up artd (a sound server
for KDE) by default.
You should also check out the permissions for /dev/dsp. The user who is
trying to run liveice (or whatever) must be allowed to open /dev/dsp.
I hope It Help you.

line vector plots
Hi,
I'm looking for the way to make vector plot over a time line. This plot,
similar to the "feather plot" in Matlab, is a line in which every thick
(a time value) one vector is drawn with its length proportional to one
variable (wind speed, for example) and its direction to another (wind
direction, for example). Any ideas?
Thanks, EKS

computer algebra in R
Dear Konrad,
I presume that the system can be written as follows, where h0, d0, ga0, kga and kd are given:
err1 = h + hd + hga - h0;
err2 = d + hd - d0;
err3 = ga + hga - ga0;
err4 = hga - kga*h*ga;
err5 = hd - kd*h*d;
All error terms should be zero.
Do you need (a) the symbolic solution or (b) is a numeric solution fine?
I do not have any experience with yacas or caracas. But see below.

Timestamp problem
Hi
When new files or copied files are putted in a Samba share (3.0.2
Solaris) from Win clients, it has no time stamp, only date stamp,
example:
-rwxr--r-- 1 me me 740762 Oct 11 2004 test.jpg
It only shows the date. Our application relies on time stamps to process
the files (actually ftp is the method to move files) so that breaks the
application.
We would like to use Samba instead and that

knowing the code-number of factors in a vector
Hi,
I would like to know how R assigns the numeric code to a set of factors
in a vector. For example, I have a vector of 5 different factors in a
random order, and I want a color-coded plot by factors:
rfactor=as.factor(sample(letters[1:5], 50, replace=T))
rfactor
[1] c c c d b a b d d a a e e b b e c e e a a b b b a b a e a a b d b
b c a b b
