NetJet and RAS
Hi,
Last weekend I was planning to buy a physical PBX system, but instead I
have been blown away by the fact that VoIP really works, that Asterisk
is so easy to set up and use... and free!
We're in Australia, so as I understand it, we aren't allowed to use the
Zaptel cards. We need to set up our system to route incoming 56K data
calls to the PPP daemon on our Linux box or to our

NetJet Cards
Hello,
I am trying to use 2 netjet cards under asterisk and isdn4linux. I am
having a hard time trying to get them to work in terms of dial out. Does
anyone have a working config I could look at for even one card (tried
that, not much luck either).
When i dial out:

Asterisk + NetJet (ISDN4Linux)
Well, it has been a long time since I used my NetJet S cards with
asterisk (moved to the quad PRI card) but I am trying to get this
working again for home use.
Basically, what I am using is this:
Linux 2.6.8.1:
config lines:
# ISDN subsystem
CONFIG_ISDN=y
# Old ISDN4Linux
CONFIG_ISDN_I4L=y
# CONFIG_ISDN_PPP is not set
CONFIG_ISDN_AUDIO=y
# CONFIG_ISDN_TTY_FAX is not set

isdn4linux, NETjet, chan_modem help needed
I'm trying to get a basic Asterisk configuration together for ISDN incoming
/ outgoing calls. I have two Cisco 7905g phones working (at least talking to
each other) and have purchased a NETjet-S PCI ISDN card for routing calls to
/ from ISDN.
The state I've managed to get it to is:-
-- Executing Ringing("SIP/PHONE2-d557", "") in new stack

Teles PCI and chan_capi, possible ???
Hello!
I'm curently using * with two old Teles PCI card (wich, btw, were hard to
install and make good use of) with ISDN4Linux.
The sound quality is simply perfect.
However both dialing in and out through the ISDN line, there seems to be a
_little_ bit of echo that eventually gets on your nerves !
Also the echo seems to get a _little_ bigger after a minute or so into the
conversation.

hi
PSTN <--> [Teles ISDN / Asterisk] <--> SIP client
When call is made through ISDN, no matter if taken from PSTN or
Asterisk side, person in PSTN side can hear perfectly but in Asterisk
side I only hear a very scrambled or very low quality voice, words
repeated several times. Same is with echo test (call taken from PSTN)
Setup:

NEWBIE - No Audio on ISDN BRI (Teles PCI)
Hello, folks! This is my first post here.
I installed Asterisk from scratch and after reading a lot of information on
voip-info and this mailing list I was able to get started.
I can make sip-to-sip calls (just on a basic extentions structure, let's say
for beginners) but now I'm trying to make this system works with my Teles
ISDN BRI PCI card.
I can make and receive calls through X-Ten

(euro)ISDN: complete silence / can't hear a word.
Hello,
I just got my isdn-card working together with i4l and asterisk.
Everything seems to be working fine: I can accept calls coming from the
outside and I can dial out. Even setting the msn works like charm but my
problem is that I cannot hear a word. There's complete silence in both
directions.
Any idea what could be the cause?
Thanks for your help,
Gunther

Dahdi_genconfig - "Empty configuration -- no spans"
Asterisk - 1.8.4.1
Dahdi-linux - 2.4.1.2
Dahdi-tools - 2.4.1
Kernel: 2.6.37.6
Kernel BKL: enabled
I am upgrading Asterisk on this box. It has an OpenVox A400P PCI analog
card with 1 FXO and 1FXS module.
This server has been running just fine for two years with Asterisk 1.6.1.0
I've just upgraded all the OS and installed Asterisk 1.8.4.1. On trying
to configure the A400P I get:

DTMF Tones During Call
Hi,
I am receiving calls via a Netjet-S card on asterisk, and I notice that
whenever I am talkimng to someone, if their voice is loud enough, sometimes
asterisk generates a DTMF Tone as they speak. that is played to me. (Caller
doesn't hear it).
Any ideas how to stop this?

Asterisk 10/1.6.1 and Dahdi/Libpri compatilities in BRI /PtmP
Hi,
After an upgrade, I discovered yesterday strange things I would like
to share here.
Basically, I'me comparing platforms:
The first one is a 2.6.26 (Debian Lenny) platform, with Asterisk
1.6.1.18, Libpri 1.4.10.2, Dahdi revision 8853 (must be between 2.3
and 2.5, I think).
The second one is a 2.6.32 (Debian Squeeze) platform, with Asterisk
10.5.1, Libpri 1.4.12, Dahdi 2.6.1.
Both are

Issue with Hamlet ISDN PCI card(Cologne Chipset)
Hi everybody
I have installed a TrixBox with Asterisk 1.2.14 and relative upgreaded
software.
I Bristuffed it with last version of bristuff to use a Hemlet PCI ISDN CARD
in a normal Italian EUROISDN installation. The * works fine except for the
ISDN CARD. It is always Channel D down, but if a Call comes in, it works
perfectly for some time, both inbound and outbound. It prompts Channel D UP!

Fritz card technology & German *
Hi all,
I've been working with * for a long time now, but only with analog FXS/FXO
systems.
I am venturing towards setting up a box in Germany now and I believe that
requires a Fritz card? Do I even have to use the Fritz cards? Why not a
Digium card....
We have 2 ISDN lines ( --> 6 handsets) so I'm guessing that will require 2
Fritz PCI cards (they have 1 port only). Then

MultiBRI in Australia - found one - maybe
I may have found a source of an A-Ticked HFC 4BRI PCI adapter in
Australia, and will be testing one next week if all goes well. I don't
want to post the details of the reseller online unless invited to do so,
so if nobody replies and says they are interested then I won't :)
I'll follow up once I've tested it.
Let me know if you want the details.

PABX & VOIP Gateway
Hello,
I'm researching the possibility of using VOIP (SIP) with an existing
PABX system. Ideally, the setup would be to dial an outside line through
the PABX (that would actually link to the the VOIP gateway).
At this point I would prefer not to purchase a hardware-based VOIP
gateway. I would prefer to use a software-based gateway for research &
testing purposes. Could anyone please

Leftover sound on isdn modem channel
Hi,
I have a strange problem on some isdn modem channels. (* 1.0.9 /
chan_modem / 2xHFC-S cards).
Everything works fine but when the 2nd (and 3rd etc..) call comes in and
* answers and there is about a 1/2 second of sound from the previous
call (ivr) before the sound from the new call is heard. It just sounds
bad and is quite annoying.
I am assuming this is sound that is still in a buffer

zaphfc on an 'actual' asterisk?
Hi all
I don't manage to get asterisk 1.2.5 or 1.2.6 running with the zaphfc
driver....
The scripts from junghanns.net do download a very old libpri and asterisk
version which is too buggy for me to use.
Isn't there an acutal patch to get zaphfc support in *?
