fc5 and link to sources?
Just installed fc5, installed correct kernel source, and trying to compile zaptel-1.2. Changed the link in /lib/modules/2.6.15-1.2054_FC5 to point to /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES. Like: lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 23 May 12 15:21 build -> /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES A 'make install' still complains with: make -C /lib/modules/2.6.15-1.2054_FC5/build SUBDIRS=/usr/src/zaptel-1.2 modules make[1]:

FW: zaptel 1.4.0 on Fedora Core 6 x86_64
I tried to test Asterisk 1.4 on FC6 x86_64. I have it working on FC5 x86_64 very good, but since FC keeps updating, I tried to follow newer kernel versions. I can't pass the zaptel compilation. Everything is OK, but when I finished, and tried to load it, allways got module not found when I run modprobe zaptel, and modprobe ztdummy. I already tried to modify is with the sed 1 option but

FC5 32-bit vs 64-bit
Hello, I am a biostats student and a newbie to R. I have a question about 32-bit vs. 64-bit. I am running FC5 on a AMD 3800+ with 2GB Ram. With 64-bit, I am running into some issues the stability of FC5. A friend suggested I ditch the 64-bit version of FC5 for the 32-bit. I do not currently have any pressing needs for the capabilities of the 64-bit OS. Before I reinstall the 32-bit

zaptel-1.4.0-beta2 Getting it to compile on Fedora Core 6 _64bit
I keep running into the dead end that it can't find config.h in the source tree. It looks like newer kernels don't use it anymore. Someone ran into this awhile back when compiling 1.2 and it looks as though the issue was never resolved. Any ideas? Last time I tried this, I was on fedora core 5 64bit and all went well. It's not working on this newer setup Any ideas on what I can do

Setup Windows XP to print to CUPS printer on FC5
I am quite sure this question has been asked before but I can't find anything in the archive and Google does not turn up anything useful. I have Fedora Core 5 with an HP LaserJet 5L printer connected to the LPT port. I also have the CUPS printer queue shared. I am trying to setup up a Windows XP laptop with wlan on my home network to be able to print to that printer. I have little

newhidups failing with Nova 1100 on FC5
I have been testing out my new MGE Nova 1100 on a system (dual Athlon) running Fedora Core 5 and the newhidups driver seems to be regularly dying. The UPS is the USB model, I have nut-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 and nut-cgi-2.0.3-0.1.fc5 installed. I am running a 2.6.16 kernel. (I haven't upgraded to FC5's 2.6.17 kernel yet as there seem to be some complaints about it.) The driver initially works.

Zaptel Compilation Error
Hi List; I think my problem in Zaptel compilation is related to autoconf: no input file, anyone has an advise? Also, I did a change in the Makefile existed in the following path: /usr/src/kernels/2.6.20-1.2319.fc5-i686/ EXTRAVERSION = 2.6.20-1.2319.fc5 Now, if I run uname -r then I get output: 2.6.20-1.2319.fc5 But the directory under the kernels is: 2.6.20-1.2319.fc5-i686 So do I have to

Xen 3.0.2 FC5 Reboots
I just upgraded my Fedora Core 5 Xen server from 1 gig or memory to 2. When I start the machine it begins to load the Xen kernel and then reboots. I can boot the machine on straight FC5 without Xen. If I put it back to 1 gig of memory Xen will boot fine. I looked in the xend.log and didn''t see anything. I do see some kind of page_fault error on the screen before the server reboots.

Thunderbird and Dovecot on FC5 taking a long time to retrieve message
I'm running FC5 (2.6.15-1.2054_FC5smp) and Dovecot dovecot-1.0-0.beta8.2.fc5 with Thunderbird 2.0.0.16. I set up imap (dovecot) so I can access my mail locally or remotely. It seems to take a very long time (minutes sometimes) for an Email to be retrieved after I select it in the folder list and/or in the Email list locally or remotely. I've traced the imap process and found it doing a
