*.conf utilities for Asterisk
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for *.conf generators for Asterisk. Creating *.conf files manually for Asterisk requires too much effort for what I do other than minor tweaking. I run Asterisk as a network appliance (Astlinux on CF) so something like FreePBX that needs to run on the Asterisk server itself is not an option. I have been using IPmanager up until now

BLF not working after reload
Hi there, I am running Asterisk 1.2. I have a Grandstream GXP2000 and Aastra 9133i with BLF/Speedial configured for other extensions. The hint's are all configured in extensions.conf and it seems to work as it is supposed to until I reload the configuration in Asterisk or reboot the server. Then neither phone displays the BLF of other extensions until I reboot the phone. It continues

Vonage and FXO
Is anyone using Vonage on an FXO port in Asterisk? How well does it work? Specifically, any echo/delay problems? Second part, I am assuming it is possible to separate fxo ports for least cost routing correct? In other words, I would like the routing to be such that any local or 1-800# dials fxo ports 1-4 which is a normal 4 line analog PSTN connection. Any long distance call will try to dial

FOP2 in Digium repository?
Hello everyone, I see that the "yum install freepbx" from Digium repository actually installs the latest FreePBX which is nice. However, I don't see the old FOP in FreePBX anymore. Is there a way to install FOP or FOP2 through repository? Thanks, -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Rolled Distro?
Hi folks, I've been a trixbox user for a few years now but I'm thinking about jumping ship. Trixbox is great, but it's missing two features out of the box which are really important to me: outbound faxing (hylafax) and imap voicemail. I see no indication that they will be included anytime in the near future, so I have a choice to make - I've looked around at Elastix,

Asterisk 1.6.1 and dahdichanname = no
I am using FreePBX with Asterisk 1.4 and i wanted to upgrade to Asterisk 1.6.1. As FreePBX only supports ZAP naming i set dahdichanname = no in my asterisk.conf. However, after installation the console was still merrily chattering about incoming calls on DAHDI channels and nothing happened because all the ZAP stuff was ignored. Are all Asterisk versions (1.6.0, 1.6.1 as well as the soon to

[OT-FreePBX] Outbound calls check inbound routes to see if destination is local?
Greetings- First, my apologies for the OT post. Yes, I understand this is not the FreePBX-users mailing list. But, there are a large number of people that use FreePBX and I'm hoping they can be of assistance. I have a system running Asterisk 1.4.27 (see... relevance!!!) and FreePBX 2.6.0. There are a large number of inbound routes configured for the various DID's coming in via PRI, SIP,

Recommended Web Interface
I'm currently reviewing the latest release of FreePBX (formerly known as Asterisk@Home). Do either of you know whether FreePBX is robust enough to handle multiple clients, or have any recommendations on front-end Web interface to manage client config & provide clients access to manage their level of access (similar to how Vonage, Teliax, and others provide client access to their web

FreePBX 2.1.0: Manually rewriting
do you have selinux enabled? It should not be. p p.s. - if it comes to re-installing, you can backup all your settings with the freepbx backup utility and then restore so that you don't have to re-enter everything. Cisco 7940 and PJSIP registration
Thank you. I read that last yesterday afternoon, and I could've sworn I tried that but I will look into it again (I've tried so many different things it was getting cloudy what I've tried and what worked etc, combined that the extension config gets messed up after playing with it so much so I'm often recreating it as well). I also found a bug report in the FreePBX bug tracker

Switchvox
I just inherited a client that is using a Switchvox system. I normally install a CentOS based system with freePBX and some custom endpoint management stuff for Polycom phones. This Switchvox is making me feel a bit stifled. I am having nightmares of another recent encounter with Trixbox Pro. Can I really not ssh into this box? If I could is there anything useful that I might change

IAX Calls - One Way Audio
Hello List, I am currently having a bit of a strange issue with a pair of asterisk servers that we recently set up. For a bit of background, this particular business has two sites in two different towns, about 10 minutes apart. They have 3 analogue PSTN lines connected to the asterisk servers at each location, via a Sangoma A200 (with HEC). They are trying to have just the one receptionist for

GURUs - How to monitor all MySQL actions on an Asterisk/FreePBX server?
Hi Guys, This is something related and yet un-related to Asterisk. I have a FreePBX/Asterisk server running and I want to trace everything that FreePBX does to MySQL. Is there a verbose CLI to MySQL that I can pull up on terminal and make configuration change to FreePBX and see it in real-time on the terminal as to what is added to which MySQL table and where? Quick start configuration sample for "chan_dahdi.conf"
I am really a beginner of PRI ISDN board, I am wondering if there is a "quick start" chan_dahdi.conf configuration I could use. I tried to install two "FreePBX" boxes follow the instructions from "http://www.cadvision.com/blanchas/Asterisk/DahdiT1trunk.html" connected them between PRIs, It worked. And now if I refer the FreePBX "chan_dahdi.conf" it looks
