Freepbx database
Hellos
I am using freepbx and asterisk.
I am writing an AGI script to edit the values in findmefollow table. The
script will enable users to delete and add follow me numbers from their
phones. I want it to enable users enable/disable follow me.
I can't seem to find a value in the database that deals with

Freepbx database followme disable/enable value
Hello,
I am writing an AGI script to achieve the following
- Users can Disable/Enable followme from their extension. They can also
change the followme details from their extensions.
I have looked at the follow me table for freepbx. I can't see the field for
the values enabling/disable followme. Is this value stored in the database?

Filmon HDI Player
Hello,
wonder if anyone can help here - perhaps a winetrick (tried DIVX - doesn't help, and slight problems with Ubuntu 9.10, like some other Linux programs have). I have tried to install a MS Windows program to watch TV, films etc. over the Internet from filmon.com. The program gives a "network problem" message after trying to authenticate the log-in name and password.
There is no

function_db_read: DB requires an argument, DB(<family>/<key>)
from extensions.conf:
exten = _X.,1,Set(CALLERID(name)=${DB(cidname/${CALLERID(num)})})
I basically try to lookup the CLIP and attach a name for each inbound
call. This works fine, except when I have just restarted asterisk - at
which time I've more than once seen the message from the subject.
As far as I can tell, with my Set(CALLERID), I should always have an

here's a fix for Goldmine (and other ISAM database based programs) on Windows NT/2000/XP clients talking to samba
Goldmine seems to a compiled database application compiled in something likeClipper.
Clipper applications record lock through ISAM like files (DBF).
However, in Windows NT/2000/XP, Opportunistic locking is turned on
by default in order to accelerate file transfer from file services.
[Windows 95/98 did not Opportunisticly lock]
However, opportunistic locking corrupts ISAM and ISAM like

How to write data to astdb?
Hello,
I'm trying to fill CID data into the astdb using AsteriskWin32's
asterisk.exe, to no avail: The batch file stops after the first line, and
just waits:

rem
rem c:\cygroot\mystuff>C:\cygroot\bin\asterisk.exe -rx 'database put
cidname 123 "My cellphone"'

AstDB wildard searches
Hi All,
I'm looking for a way to filter the AstDB cidname family to show only
those entries with a specified area code in the Asterisk CLI. If this
were a SQL database it would be something like:
SELECT number, name FROM cidname WHERE number LIKE '1234%'
I've tried "database show cidname 1234*" and substituted "%", "$", "-"
for the wildcard

parsing to compare
Admittedly this is probably pretty stupid of me, but there are just some things I can't understand by reading documentation. Any suggestions or recommendations about how to handle my problem are greatly appreciated. I'm trying to achieve the same functionality as my Nortel PBX, without rewriting much 'C' code.
In my dialplan I'd like to compare two variables as a means of

Database usage?
I was finally playing around with the various databases, blacklist and
cidname. The format for these are family name, key and value. Would that
mean that the key is the name to enter, and the value the number? For
instance:
database put blacklist "Kim Callis" 3235551212? And if that is in fact
correct, what happens if I don't add a key?

AstDB wildcards
Hi All,
I need to use partial matches on the CIDNAME family I have stored in
AstDB. For example, an organisation might have several numbers with
the same area code and the same first few digits:
1234 567890
1234 567889
1234 567824
...
I'd like to store these (e.g.) as CIDNAME/12345678* (where "*" is a
wildcard) so that I can retrieve the organisation name from

adding to asterisk db from a script
It looks like asterisk isn't honoring EOF on stdin.
file add-phonelist:
database put cidname 200551234 "name 1"
database put cidname 200551235 "name 2"
database put cidname 200551236 "name 3"
database put cidname 200551237 "name 4"
asterisk -rn < add-phonelist
What I see is an infinite stream of prompts as asterisk is banging
onto the EOF.

SetCIDName question
Hi all,
I tried to set the calleridname of an incoming call to get different
incoming labels displayed for different incoming numbers.
This does work for hidden number-calls so I can set the displayed CIDName
on my cisco7960 from "CID withheld" to "abc CID withheld"
If the incoming CID isn't hidden it works to use SetCallerID but not to
change only the CIDName with

Lighttpd Configuration Independent of Hostname or IP
Hopefully someone can help with a bit of lighttpd configuration for
my production rails app in Mac OS X.
I have an application which will be accessed by many different
domains and IP addresses. Examples:
http://crm.local/
http://localhost/
http://192.168.0.49/
http://65.256.120.90/ (fake, but you get the idea, an external
Internet facing IP address)

Blank CIDName or CIDNum = "asterisk"
I am using Sipura 841 phones and Asterisk CVS-v1-0-06/14/05.
Whenever a call comes in with blank CIDName or CIDNum the phone reports
the respective variable as "asterisk".
I can manually set the variables to whatever I want: CIDName
(alpha-numeric) & CIDNum (Numeric). But if I try to make them blank, or
null, or maybe throw some alpha characters into CIDNum, they get

What to use instead of LookupCIDName?
Hello
When using LookupCIDName, Asterisk 1.4 says that it's
deprecated, and we should use "${DB(cidname/${CALLERID(num)})}"
instead, but I don't know how to use it:
;DEPRECATED exten => s,1,LookupCIDName
;ERROR
exten => s,1,${DB(cidname/${CALLERID(num)})}
I guess I should use this as a parameter to a function, but which one?
Thank you.

Polycom and CallerID
I'm having a problem with the callerID that the polycom IP600 phones are
displaying. I would like to modify the CIDName and leave CIDNumber as
exactly what the phone call came in as(provided they aren't hiding
callerID). Most of the calls will be going to the queue, but a few will
go directly to the SIP phones.
I've done a various combinations of using SetCallerID(),
