Compiling git on FC7 64 bit
Having just upgraded to FC7, 64 bit (from FC4, 32 bit), I seem to be having a compile problem with a current git version of Wine. I am assuming plenty of others have already run into this and figured out the fix. It is pretty much a stock FC7, with only a few additional packages added so far (cups-devel, freetype, a few others). Compiling works until here: make[2]: Entering directory

Regression in wine 0.9.49
Hi just noticed a regression in wine 0.9.49 (compared versus 0.9.47). One program (altera Quartus II) uses the computers NIC in order to verify the software license. In wine 0.9.47 the program correctly identifies the computer NIC, so validation works. In wine 0.9.49 the program does not find any NICs, so license validation doesn't work. Downgrading to 0.9.47 brings back this funtionality.

no jack option in audio selection
Hi everyone using Wine, I'm having a problem getting wine to use jack for the audio driver. I have compiled wine-0.9.47 from source and the jack headers are detected during configuration. Yet, there is no option to choose jack as the audio driver when using winecfg. I know of at least one other person who also has this problem, who posted here

Problems with World of Warcraft since 0.9.48 update
Hi all, I have installed WoW with 0.9.47 (actually also 0.9.45 and 0.9.46 on previous Linux installs) and it was working fairly well (with the due modification to the registry, WoW config file, and nice -15), but I started to have few problems since I have updated wine to 0.9.48. The first and most annoying problem is that every 15-25 minutes WoW freeze; I have to kill it and reopen it. That is

Virtual window misbehavior
I succeeded in installing 0.9.47 on two Debian Etch machines. In 'winecfg' in the 'Graphics' tab I checked the "Allow the Window Manager to control the Windows" box and the "Emulate a virtual desktop" box at 1024x768.When I start a program the virtual desktop goes full screen under the bottom and top panels. I haven't found handles to re-size the window. All

hhc.exe compiles .chm files, but does not index properly
Hello, I've spent a while reading about configuring WINE for use with hhc.exe to create .chm files. These instructions almost work: http://code.google.com/p/htmlhelp/wiki/HHW4Wine But, when comparing the Windows-generated .chm to the Linux-generated .chm, the Linux-generated one does not have sorted or consolidated index entries. It seems that whatever part of the process is responsible for
