IAX UNREACHABLE : Ignoring bindport/bindaddr on reload
Oh! In that case ignore it.
Asterisk won't rebind the adapter if you've only changed parameters. The message is misleading

Asterisk won't listen on another port
Hello,
Hope somebody can help me - Asterisk is behaving very oddly and I'm
totally stumped! I have SER and Asterisk running on the same box. I want
SER to listen on port 5060 (it is) and Asterisk to listen on port 5062.
I have configured my phones to register with x.x.x.x:5060 (SER) and
Asterisk will purely act as a voicemail server at the moment. However I
cannot get Asterisk to listen on a

Needed changes in Asterisk to change the SIP port to 5062
Hi Friends,
I want to use 5062 port for SIP protocol. I made the below modifications in my server to use 5062 port.
Polycom phone: port=5062
Trunk settings: port=5062
sip.conf: bindaddr=5062
Extension configuration details: 5062
Our VoIP provider told me that they are allowing the SIP traffic through 5060 to 5064. I observed on my server console that my server is registered with our VoIP

how to listen on different sip port for a device?
I'm trying to allow access to the office from home. But the ip provider
(cablevision) blocks udp 5060. I can see the register packets leaving on
wireshark, but nothing received by office. Changed to port to 6111 and
now the packets show up.
In the server I've set port=6111 in the device in sip.conf, but * is NOT
listening for 6111:
netstat -an | grep 5060
tcp 0 0

SIP port 5060 closed - how do I open it?
Hi all,
I have *NOW beta 6 (asterisk 1.4.5) and I've configured it with a SIP trunk
line. I can make outgoing calls, but I cannot receive any incoming calls. A
port scan of my * server shows that port 5060 is closed. How do I open this
port? In my users.conf, I have set [trunk_1] to hassip=yes and port=5060.
Also, in the global SIP.conf file
bindport=5060
bindaddr=0.0.0.0

Registration of multiple SIP-clients for the same extensions
Hello,
we want to setup the following scenario:
- each user has a softphone AND a hardphone
- the softphone is started with the operating system
- the hardphone is connected all the time using SIP
- only ONE extension for each user
Both phones should ring when the user is called.
We've setup an asterisk 1.4.18 and at the moment only
the last registered client rings.
In Asterisk 1.2 the

Asterisk-beginner : cannot make phonecalls using Asterisk
Hi there,
this is the first time that I'm building an Asterisk-server.
I have compiled Asterisk together with Zaptel on an CentOS 5.3-system.
Zaptel is for later, when configuring the POTS-line. Now first internal
communication with SIP.
Thought it would go easier...
I have 2 Grandstream IP-phones : BT-201 and GXP-1200.
These are my settings :

Hi,
Anyone here using sipgate.de ?
It worked for months, but for a couple of days now I'm
unable to register with them.
My account is ok, because I can login to the website.
Asterisk keeps showing me:

conference calling
Greetings listers.
I'm running asterisk 1.4.21.2 on SUSE 11.0 using
Polycom 501 phones. My outgoing connections are Zapata using a TDM401P.
For the most part I can make and receive calls fine except for these 3
issues:
1. When I call an external conference, the call never bridges and
hangs up after 60-90 seconds.
2. When I call another number there is a

I have the Cisco PIX 506 firewall right in front of the asterisk and I am

I have the "fixups" disabled for SIP in the Cisco PIX 506. Any help
rendered by you in this subject is greatly appreciated. I have been breaking
