setting up AMD
I'm trying get this working. I've looked through the list, and can't see how to get AMD to print out more. I have it call and say Hello like I normally would. I've tried to say more and less doesn't seem to matter. After I hangup it does recognize hangup. Here's logging during an attempt where I make outbound call and answer, but then hangup after 1-2 seconds: Jan 24

Auto callout - reminder - is it possible?
I'm trying to get a script working on a website to send out automatic email reminders to customers reminding them monthly to change furnace filters. I haven't got one running successfully, yet. That made me think - could it be done with a phone call using Asterisk? A monthly automated phone call to remind people to change their furnace filter? I have no ability to figure this out

AGI ?
Hi All, I have been attempting to get an AGI LCRdialout script to work. Basically what I need to have happen is when someone dials out a number the script check to see if it is local if so, go out the ZAP channel. If the ZAP channel is busy, go out the IAX channels, if IAX is all busy, go out the SIP channels. Here is a sample of what I have in my script. #!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use

Multiple ISP Issues
Hi all, I am having an issue with a multiple ISP setup. I have followed the docs online and I think I have everything setup correctly but I can get the desired traffice to go out my secondary ISP. A quick run down on what I am trying to acomplish. I want to send all sip/iax traffic out one ISP in the net zone and then send all other traffic out my secondary ISP in the dsl zone. Attached is

Captive Portal
Hi All, Does anyone know of a good captive portal that I can get working with shorewall? I am trying to find one that will authenticate users and if a user does not have an account they can create one and pay for service temporarily. Like a hot spot. I''ve been looking a Wifidog but I''m not sure how to get it working with shorewall and also it just creates free accounts, so I

Pass Dialed number to a script
I'm in the process of writing a simple autodialer to dial a list of numbers and play a message. One of the options I want to give them is a way to "dial X to have a customer service representative call you" Looking for a simple way to pass the number that I dialed to a script in extensions.conf... something like this: [serviceinterruption] exten =>

trunk rollover
I was hoping that rolling over to the next trunk would be simple, but it doesn't appear to be so, especially for a newbie. So I'm looking for a simple way where if I get a busy on the first outgoing trunk, I can do something to get connected to the next one. Perhaps something like the big boys do and dial 9 first? I'm guessing a custom dial plan might do that but I haven't

Realtime and PostgreSQL
Has anyone had any luck with PostgreSQL and Realtime? The realtime instructions on voip-info seem pretty straight forward... just not woking for me. I've included all of my config files below, and my console output. Entire console bootup output: [root@abox asterisk]# /usr/sbin/asterisk -vvvvvvc == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf': Found == Parsing

Hi All when I try to use auto-dial to connect to outside phone , my applications get executed before the caller attend the calls , this happens only when I call outside no , ie when I use Channel: ZAP/1/0507451111 in my sample.call file , if I use Channel:SIP/326 , it works fine my ?sample.call? file contains Channel: ZAP/1/0507451111 Callerid: Asterisk MaxRetries: 2 RetryTime: 10

vmoutcall]
--> Perhaps someone can share how? First you need to give them the option of turning the feature on and off. I do it with the following: [callback-activate] ; *********************************************** ; Callback activate/deactivate. If this function ; is enabled and there is a call file in the form ; of ${EXTEN}.call, then Asterisk will call the ; phone number contained within the

SetCDRUserField not working in A@H?
I have A@H 2.1, running * 1.2.1. I am trying to put information into the userfield with SetCDRUserField and AppendCDRUserField. However, the field is never populated in the cdr - I've checked the csv files and the MySQL asteriskcdrdb table. The field is defined in the MySQL table, but is always empty. The csv files that get created don't have a userfield at all, that is, there

macintosh metadata madness
Like many other Mac OSX users, I have found it frustrating that rsync is not as usable as one would like it to be on OSX. I've posted some software on my website that I find useful, and that others may find useful as well. It provides tools that allow one to access and manipulate OSX metadata, and in particular, to backup (and restore) this metadata to a non-OSX, unix machine (using

ugh, continued ldap madness, cont'd
After a brief stint offlist (thanks Bradley), I'm closer to getting SMB/LDAP working but now am encountering something very odd, which he suggested I bring back to the list for "further evaluation". :-) > $ smbclient //TESTBOX/testshare -U dballing > added interface ip=10.15.49.142 bcast=10.15.49.255 nmask=255.255.255.0 > Password: > session setup failed:

Partial Naming Madness
Hi, I am having the following issue with a partial. During initial page load, I am doing a "render_partial_collect ''foo'', @foos", and all goes well. Each foo partial makes use of a variable inside called ''foo'' (and can get foo.id etc). After all the partials are loaded, I need to :update a div corresponding to one of the partials (ie re-load the

date madness
I have a column called ''time_in'' and it is actually a timestamp so it has a date and a time. I created a method in my model called time_in_date which is simply time_in.strftime("%m/%d/%Y") I can''t do an sql find on a column that doesn''t exist so how do I find for a specific date? Craig

model mixin module madness
If I have several models which exhibit the same functionality, it seems makes sense to create a mixin, ''include'' it in each model and save myself some work and repeated code. Where can I define a module which will be available to all models? I can''t seem to find a documented place for them. Alternatively, is there a Rails-standard way of achieving the effect? Ben

Unicode madness
It seems like unicode is poorly or improperly tested with wxWidgets. The documentation is wrong in several places and I have yet to get a build that works with unicode. The include file that is supposed to be included when you #define _UNICODE on windows does not even define wxUSE_UNICODE. I''ll try to tackle this more later but we''ll have to wait and see what happens.

Lib* madness
Hello, I have a small problem which has grown (and continues to grow) over the years. I have upgraded my linux system so many times, I''m worried that I have old, insecure libs and executables somewhere on my system which may or may not be used to gain access to my system. How do I determine which libs I should have where, and which libs are safe to delete? There are some programs
